There is NO OFFICIAL information about a new TES game release.

This thread is for member speculation of when and if TES V will be released. This is where you post any new information about when it might be released, tidbits from interviews which mention it and such.

It is also where you post your theories of when you think it might come out based on guesses, number crunching, rumors or such.

This is about speculating on the next TES game and when -- or if -- it is going to be released. Note that Bethesda Game Studios is NOT working on Fallout: New Vegas, Rage, Brink, or Hunted: The Demon's Forge -- Nor do they develop MMOs.

I really should start doing that too. I knew the ending of Dragon Age before it came out because I spent so much time on the forums.

I think that's an extremely unlikely possibility, construed from an over-zealously interpreted rumor.

did anyone kinda find it was stupid that bethesda made 2 Fallout games (I know Obsidian mostly made it, but bethesda helped a lot) before they moved on to an elder scrolls game?

No, I don't find it stupid because Bethesda Game Studious had absolutely nothing to do with Fallout New Vegas.

Bethesda Game Studios didn't do anything to help Obsidian with the development of the game. There were QA testers from Bethesda, but I believe they are from gamesas and not BGS.

With all of the activity about the game, how much people want it, and that there are so many people reading these topics and that weve gone through something like one a day, I believe that the anouncement will be comming very soon. If not at the VGA then early 2011 Im thinking. While the buz about the game is still hot is (like now) is when i think is their best chance to do it

Gaming websites both minor and major, forums, podcasts, etc. all over the internet took the Eurogamer rumor and ran with it. I feel like anticipation for a new Elder Scrolls is at, or at least close to, a fever pitch. Bethesda needs to strike while the iron's hot.

That might be because I've never even heard of System Link, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. Eurogamer on the other hand is generally considered to be a pretty reputable site if I'm not mistaken? A rumor coming from an established and well known site is obviously going to have more weight to it than if it originated from a small time blog of dubious repute.

I'm skeptical of that rumour. 'A direct sequel to Oblivion'? That conflicts with all the interviews where they've said each game is its own separate game. And 'dragon lord'? That doesn't sound good at all - I actually find myself hoping the rumour has no substance to it.

I know this promo video for the VGAs doesn't show anything ESV related, but in his last Twitter post he mentions there's "tons of news next week." Maybe ESV is included in the said news next week.

Lot's of news just means lots more reveals...nothing specific and no need to delve into it further. Though I did ask him if we would have any chance of a Bethesda reveal, will see if he gets back.

I think folks should probably try to keep their expectations in check. Other than convenient timing, there's really no reason to suspect that Bethesda is going to show what they're working on at the VGAs.

Having said that, you should probably keep an eye on Bethesda developer twitter accounts. Someone at Bioware teased...well a teaser for their mystery game before Geoff Keighly did.

I'm pretty much following all the ones I could find , and all they have been talking about is how there cooking good food for thanksgiving lol and sports.
