Umbriel will hover above White Gold Tower
svcking up the souls of the ancient merithic power who created it
(or something like that)

White Gold Tower will pop Umbriels bubble

Umbriel will land ontop destroying White Gold Tower
and Mer will replace mens seat of power

Just curious..... i read the book bein a huge elder scrolls fan myself. And i was severly let down not by the story but by the author, and his overly drawn out character depictions improper phrasing(repeatedly calling azura a man and "prince" only later to refer to her as "her") now im not aware if she has ever been referred to as a deadric princess(cant think of any instance). and also elements such as "coo" and these huge khajit mounts.... also the ending(yes i know its a serious) was horrible and had no climix, glim and anniag bleed and sul has this crazy power presumably endowed on him by clavicus or another deadra lord and it just ends....WTF??????!!!!!!!!!????????

NOT tryn to just piss and moan i liked the book but i think bethesda let this slip through does anyone else feel a little let down by it????? Not withstanding our own personal love of the elder scroll series and lore.. THE NEXT BOOK NEEDS TO STEP IT UP MR. KEYES!!!!!

Azura is a Deadric prince, Deadras don't have gender, they take the shape they like

No offense but you're really nitpicking. Coo is obviously a Dwemer artifact, and considering their technology a pretty plausible artifact at that. Like half blood prince said, Azura seems like a she, but they just take the forms they like. All Daedric princes are called princes, regardless of what gender they seem to be.The Khajiit mounts weren't made up by Keyes, they've been a part of lore for a while now iirc, Keyes just gave them the first real description. Glim and Annaig "bled" when trying to escape Umbriel because they're a part of Umbriel now and can't leave, Sul's powers are totally possible considering how much time he spent in Oblivion, and the book just ended because they want you to buy the next one to read the rest of the story and give them more money.

Coo likely is Dwemer. I like it now, regardless of who fashioned it.

What's "coo"? The dwemer artifacts should be innate, since the power source is no longer bound by their magic. Unless, it's indeed powered by something else.

Coo is a metal bird that Annaig owns that flies to anybody Annaig names. When that person gets it, Coo opens up and they and Annaig can see and talk to each other. If anyone else gets Coo, it wont open.

As much as I would like to assume "Coo" is Dwemer in origin, the Dwemer aren't really the type to fashion their machines to look like shimmery little animals. Their stuff tends to be heavy and clunky with whirring gizmos and cogs and such; Coo really struck as more elegant/intricate in design. While I have no issues with such an item being introduced into the lore, it being a Dwemer artifact doesn't seem like a proper explanation.

More likely it is the handy-work of some anonymous jeweler with an enchantment hobby.

Could be either one. However, not all Dwemer artifacts survived to the present day. It could be the Dwemer had artistic-minded folk.

Absolutely, no reason to assume otherwise. I'm just saying that there is no reason to assume Coo is Dwemer just because the Dwemer had a tendency to build machines (incidentally, there's no mention of Coo having any mechanial components aside from a single hinge) as pretty much any other culture with an appreciation for sculpture and an aptitude for enchantment is just as likely.

That's like saying that just because Orcs are reknowned for their competency as armorsmiths that all armor is most likely Orcish in origin. And we know that's not true.

Meh, maybe they'll explain more in the next book. Or maybe it'll just be left as a mysterious magical thing.

At first I didn't think so either, but Sul looked at Coo and said that the Dwemer had similar stuff. That could just be a reference to their machines, or perhaps Sul saw some artifacts that we didn't see in Morrowind that were like Coo.

Still, it's not like the Dwemer are the only ones who can build machines, so I'm sure it could just as easily be made by some random inventor.

So, what is the General Consensus on TES novels? The guys over at The Imperial Library don't seem to like it much from what I've seen.

Unless you want to nitpick, I don't think there are objections founded in lore that anyone is obliged to take seriously. The glimpses into Black Marsh and Elsweyr were well done, the crash of the Ministry of Truth was well enough accounted for, and I'm presuming the business with Umbra will yet be brought to some satisfactory state. Out of four story arcs, three are left as cliffhangers; that's OK since there's going to be a sequel, but I think the story was advanced so fast that there is neither enough action remaining nor enough substance to justify even a sequel of the same length.

Knock knock
Who's there?
Jaroon
Jaroon who?
...(crickets chirp in the background)...

Seriously, who is Jaroon? I vaguely remember reading the name.

High Alma Jaroon lives in the 5th era, not sure why he (or more likely she) would be mentioned in the 4th. Out of universe, it is a Thai name, iirc.

Very much it would be desirable to learn, whether any Russian-speaking publishing house is engaged in a translation of the book on Russian.

Simply transfer is waited by some thousand persons, already even fans have translated chapter 1 (chapter 1 original took in a network). If the full version loaded into free using in the Internet, somebody could not give a url)))

I don't know if it's already been cited, but here's an interesting interview with Keyes that I found just now: http://grindingtovalhalla.wordpress.com/2009/12/02/reading-the-text-greg-keyes-interview/

Notice that he's more of a gamer than we realized.

The reason I brought Jaroon up is that there's a House Sul and a House Jaroon mentioned in the Loveletter. We've met Sul, or presumably an ancestor of Sul, whom is in turn possibly descended from heroes such as Alandro-Sul.
