I just thought of something:
Bethesda filed for their fifth extension on the Skyrim trademark on January 30th. Each extension allows for 6 more months time (And then another must be filed). People have said they need to announce TES V before July or so, but aren't there SIX extensions? It means they would have until December, as in July they will do their next extension, and their last, which will give them 6 more months.
Well, they have a six-month time-period from when they first filed the marks added to their total time delayed, in addition to all the extensions they've filed. But I can't remember if that original six-month interval counts towards their maximum allotted time or not.
So I'm not sure if they can file for a sixth one.
EDIT: Bah, you ninja, you.
A Notice of Allowance issued for the trademark application identified below on Jul 31, 2007. The FIFTH request for extension of time to file a Statement of Use has been approved. Applicant must continue to file extension requests every 6 months calculated from the date the Notice of Allowance was issued until a Statement of Use is filed. Please note that a Statement of Use cannot be filed more than 36 months from the issuance date of the Notice of Allowance.
Based on that, their 36 months from their Notice of Allowance won't afford them a sixth extension, will it?
Where did you see that they filed for an extension on Jan. 30th?
