Official "when And If We Will Get TES V "

It would both be harrowing and exhilarating if they dropped some kind of hint somewhere in the forum and then told us to go find it. Like: "We've hidden something in the forum you might be interested in...good luck!"

Check the Brink forums, I've got Elder Scrolls, Antibody's got Fallout. BREAK!

Sadly, despite how much I love Fallout, I rarely go to that part of the forums. But I usually look at each section at least once a day anyway.

Are you slowly becoming more obsessed with TES series than you are with the Fallout series? Come, join the dark side. We have cookies. :cookie:

I love the Fallout series as well, but I want an Elder Scrolls V more than I want what is basically an oversized expansion for Fallout 3. If it was Fallout 4 being released, I would be more excited, but it's not Fallout 4 being released.

In my opinion, I would much rather play a game in a living breathing environment then a desolate empty one.

Beth should have just skipped on Fallout and gone for something else but whatever... They still made a great game out of it.

Let's just wait it out. Seems like we're getting an announcement VERY soon.

Actually it's because the Fallout 3 sections are rather boring and the Fallout New Vegas section is just full of people posting the same things over and over again (My ideas, why I hate Bethesda, why do other people hate Fallout 3, etc etc.). The only section I visit in the TES section is General Discussion, so I don't visit this section much either. :P

I mostly just stay in Community Discussion.

I agree, let's not turn it into a Fallout bashing thread.

On-topic, Fallout 3 is responsible for the delay of TES V. :P

How many years did Fallout 3 take to develop(when Bethesda was focusing on it?), 2 years? Does anyone here know the exact amount of time?

That's fine by me, seeing as ESV will actually have really improved on even more things that wouldn't have been improved on very much if Fallout 3 wasn't made.

Why do you think it's going to announced this week? Is it because of Game-informer?

I don't think it delayed it too much actually. It took fairly the same amount of time it took them to make Morrowind to make Oblivion, even though they had to start work on Fallout 3 half way through.

It's because Elder Scrolls fans have become desperate, hopelessly clinging on to shadows of objects that don't exist, rumors of a legendary game that will never be revealed to us. Too long have we wandered the desert without food or drink, seeing mirages in the distances that resemble false hope.

I'm not sure. Is Game-Informer being released this week?

This week!? When did you see somebody say that? No no no. There are 4 Game Informer magazines left before the trademark expires, so assuming it is announced before then, each magazine has 1/4 of a chance of being the announcement magazine. Each magazine cover is revealed in the first few days of the month, so while there's no chance this week, it could possibly happen in the next two weeks. Possibly.

When it does get announced through GameInformer probably, I hope that they'll show us at least some concept art. I wouldn't be able to stand looking at the front cover of the magazine for a week until the mag gets released.

Assuming it is announced before then, the next GI has a 1/4 chance of announcing it. The one after that has a 1/3 chance, then 1/2, and then the next after that has a 1/1 or 100% probability. I think. Numbers aren't my forte'.

Does anyone know of any other "blowing us away" kind of games that could be announced through GameInformer? GTAV? Were previous GTAs announced through GI?

That is if Bethesda do act as we're hoping they do and announce of it because of the looming deadline for the trademark. I think it's safe to say that if they don't announce it in this half of the year, we won't be hearing about until next year. Personally, though, I think we're on the right track.

I didn't know TES series is as popular as many other series, such as the GTA series. Is it? When GameInformer says "blow us away", couldn't they very easily one of the more popular series, such as Call of Duty, Halo, or whatever else is popular these days? I don't care for any of those series at all, but TES series never seemed to be nearly as popular as many other series. Call of Duty and Halo are always overhyped. Perhaps that is what is supposed to "blow us away".

Assuming Bethesda didn't already choose when to announce it, you are correct.

I agree, they wouldnt be saying the next GI mag will "blow us away" over TES V...sadly. It will either be for a over-hyped game or a new system.

Just to clarify, Game Informer usually announces their cover on the 4th or 5th of the month, so we shouldn't expect an announcement until the at least the 1st of each month.

Assuming it is announced before then, the next GI has a 1/4 chance of announcing it. The one after that has a 1/3 chance, then 1/2, and then the next after that has a 1/1 or 100% probability. I think. Numbers aren't my forte'.

Yes, you're right, but at the moment, seeing as we don't know what any of them are, they all have an equal chance of being the announcement issue.

Does anyone know of any other "blowing us away" kind of games that could be announced through GameInformer? GTAV? Were previous GTAs announced through GI?

It could certainly be a lot of different games.

It's surprisingly popular actually, at least from what I've seen.
