They need to change the formula or Im sincerely done with both games (this not a threat)

Hope not, more chances that either one of the 2 games (TES V and FO4) was rushed, or, FO4 being a completely clone of Skyrim , I dont want that

TES is not Fallout and Fallout should not be TES.

Kind makes me want to go spend an hour on the TES wiki reading everything TES. Then go on the TES forums and post about how TES should have guns,power armour and nuclear weapons and super mutants. After all I spent an hour reading TES Wiki so I should be an expert in all things TES :grad:

Actually, They won't have started serious work on Fallout 4 until sometime this year. Concept and design work will have been started soon sure, but Bethesda only has a finite dev team and much of that team is working on Skyrim.

It will by that point be using the Skyrim engine.

One of the most influential people in the fallout series said they r not going to be the same basically. Go to NMA and read the whole thing.
It s 2011 not 2003. Black Isle went bankrupt and lost the game.

You should be glad that it is even still around at all. They went bankrupt. It s not all about you or me its about keeping the series alive. If its a turned based rpg with map nodes and no action somebody else is going to go bankrupt. Then the game will sit around for another 6 or 10 years before someone puts another one out. Or it just might fade away......

You're all getting me wrong. This is my FAVORITE game! I just got bored. I've been playing Oblivion and LOVED it!! But now I'm refreshed and ready to jump back in!

Are trying to say that Fo3 is like cod here????? COD and fo3 are nowhere near the same. Nothing is even close to the same. New cods svck, thats why I dont buy them anymore.

The entire on line shooter world is turned to garbage. Why????? Because they listened to a bunch of crybadies for 5 years boo hoo because they had to think. So now there is no "out witting" Your opponents and they have made it so there no consequences for f ing up. They all svck.... You can t even try to compair fo3 to COD 1 player, because they are no where near each other.

It goes way deeper than you being bored for a couple days.

Wait how is fallout like Elder Scrolls????? Because I d buy Elder scrolls if it was. I may be wrong, but I thought elder scrolls was some dark ages game with a little magic, and swords, and fantastic magical creatures, and I bet u can play a thief in it....

Been there done that on nintendo..... Fo is a way better idea than the 37 000 dark age magical rpgs that have been made over the last 26 or so years.

I just never heard of it before, because it wasn t going to be in the game rental section for nintendo 64.

As soon as fallout hit consoles I saw it (while looking for games to rent) I saw this guy on the cover, turned it over read it (great idea I bet it svcks) I missed work the next day. Elder Scrolls is just your classic mid evil rpg. No thanks......... Fallouts idea is what sets it apart.

What are you talking about.. I've posted that a week or so ago and i've been playing oblivion ALL spring break. I made it my goal to waste away my break on oblivion. I've explored about 80% of it. It's now my 2nd fav. Game.

I criticize cod 4 for being the down fall of the on line shooter world.
After that it was over every shooter is made just like it. No one buys them to play one player. They buy them as a form of competition. Going on line and playing with and aginst other people. To get respect for yourself and take it from someone else.

If you want to play them one player you should just rent them.

Real on line shooters vanished long ago with SOCOM 3 COD 3 Battlefield Modern Combat 2. Ghost Recon 2 (no awf 2 but just GR 2) Those were the last good on line shooters made. After that it was all about crybabies and what they wanted. Most of the people that play on line shooters today have no clue.

Im pretty sure that if you read my post you would know that I did not play the original fallout, because Im a console gamer not a pc gamer.

Though PC s far surpass consoles for video games, you have to keep up with the ever changing tech that goes with PCs or your system will be outdated. This costs money...... While with a console you just buy it and go. I really don t want to learn to PC tech to play video games even though they are more advanced and better.

Fallout 3 and nv r of the fallout series so I have played fallout.

Fallout will more than likely never be a turned based map nodes game with 64bit graphics again. I have played games that ran on these systems, but not the fallout series. I got broke in with an action packed open world game set in DC. With super awesome graphics. They r in deed fallouts says so on the cover.

You just said you have never played Fallout? You've played two Fallout games, one of which does "Fallout" very poorly.

But neither are as "Fallout" as Fallout.

Well considering it got numerous yearly and ALL TIME awards, and could be displayed in the Smithsonian. Not to forget that BETHESDA OWNS THE RIGHTS TO THE SERIES, because the people 7 years ago went BANKRUPT and BETHESDA bought it. I have played fallout.........Bethesda s fallout and they may do fallout better than fallout. Going on about it on a website won t heip. You don t see me on activision s board going on about how they ruined on line shooters. Know why??????? Because I know they don t care. I m old news to them........ They didn t even go bankrupt. Zipper is about to put out a new SOCOM. I played the beta seemed more like SOCOD to me. Am I on thier board bashing it?????? Nope. Other people r, but not me. Awards? Fallout 1 is in three different Hall Of Fame's and hold many high rankings and awards. BETHESDA OWNS THE RIGHTS TO MAKE THREE GAMES, THE SERIES HAS A HISTORY, AND IT IS LEGITIMATE. No game does Fallout better than Fallout, because Fallout is the frame, the mold, it is Fallout, the Fallout.

Fallout 1 is the Fallout, no one can beat the original and first Fallout.not even FO2 neither New Vegas, they existence is thanks to the original. oh and it got awards too

Not sure why I'm bothering since from your posting history it's clear you have your own viewpoint that is complete fact and everyone else is wrong.

There s still fallout at black isle becausd they went bankrupt. Something wasn t going right because the econmy was strong then.

Good game or not it wasn t selling enough coples or they wouldn t have went bankrupt.

Like I said before you have to sell enough to stay in buisness. When you buy fallout then you can make it a turn based map nodes rpg.

Bethesda brought it to life baby...... I watched some game play of the old ones and the canceled F3. I watched the ending of fo on Styles utube. Looks great for the time, but something was wrong they couldn t stay afloat.

Putting it on consoles would have helped I m sure. Nothing like a bigger market to make money.

Just because it shares an engine dosen t mean its like something else. You d expect similarities, but if fo was elder scrolls I would have never picked it up.

Fallout sold relatively well, as did almost all of BI games. Interplay mucked up their own finances with bad management and put Black Isle down and then brought down itself, not the other way around.

Eh. We are close enough to 200 posts for me to just lock this. Why? Because apparently this thread and it's argument about what is Fallout-ier... is from 4 years ago. And people are still sniping and flaming over this.

If I go back and look carefully, and I may, some of you may be hearing from me. :stare:
