Officially compatible with Windows 7

A couple of months back I checked Microsoft's Windows 7 game compatibility site and discovered that Fallout 3 was listed as NOT being compatible with Windows 7; the entry said that the publisher had stated it was not compatible.

That entry has now changed:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Details.aspx?type=Software&p=Fallout%203&v=Bethesda%20Games&uid=&l=en&pf=0&pi=0&s=Fallout&os=64-bit

Microsoft now declares the game to be compatible with both the 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Win7. Perhaps they included a compatibility update in a recent round of patches?

At any rate, having just installed the retail DVD version of the GOTY edition on Win7 x64, I'm about to find out :)

But I haven't installed any special codec packs. The game just runs, and runs fine.

Why am I the only person who posts something like this, only to have to edit it a few hours later, when the game goes haywire? hehehe. Oh well, the freeze ups are only occasional, and the view is fantastic, and I hope your game is glitch-free.
