Offline play interrupted due to not being Online

Brink throws a giant sized tantrum if you try to play it without at least being connected to the PSN. This is ridiculous and shouldn't happen. It should warn me that it can't track my stats and whatnot when it asks me to sign in at the main screen. If I choose nto to it should shut the crap up, perfectly understandable. It's not doing that though. I can be sitting on the menu adjusting my characters outfit and I'll get machinegunned with "Hey! You've lost your conenction to the network!!!!1" Often six or seven times in an immediate row. Other times within the span of a few seconds. A few rarer times it'll leave me alone for ten or fifteen minutes. This makes the game exceedingly difficult to play, for no bloody reason. I wasn't signed onto the network when the game started, the game asked me to connect, I told it I didn't want to... I'm playing solo mode so aside from stat tracking... there's no frakking reason it should be screaming at me about it losing connection like this.

Yeah, noticed that too. There should be also a thread on the PS3 Section for hardware and software issues but i doubt nobody knows about these forums!

ah thank you for that, it offers up a potential solution I hadn't thought to try.

You might try it but i don`t think that it works. It`s not like your PS3 is searching and looking to try to connect you it`s Brink, so the problem should be not solved by disconnecting you PS3 from the internet.
