Hello-ive had the error 74 also the screen has bright lights with dotted lines also on the loading screen it looks like a old 5mm film burning so I tested with multimeter and got 1.5.

Im inquiring because the guides that I've seen (YouTube, Xboxexperts etc) have said 2.0 or better and its good .5 or 0 and it's bad but nobody said anything about 1.5-1.6.

If its still good then I just have to replace the heat things with a stack of pennies right? Ive seen all the tutorials on YouTube so im hoping that I can fix this myself.

Ok I FINALLY found the answer,I have a 1st gen 360 and between 1.0 and 2.0 is exactly where its supposed to be but the other models are a higher rated ohm something like 2.0-3.0 so I thought that mine was burnt, I guess not so ill just try to fix it.
