Old Daggerfall Poison/Enchantment Mods

Many of you probably have heard about poisoned weapons in Daggerfall - the occasional odd drop in dungeons or homes, but faulty code causes their unique attributes to vanish when you relocate to another area or save/load the game. Another common complaint is that in Daggerfall, potion and enchanted item drops are particularly rare compared to Morrowind and Oblivion.

In pouring over some of the old Daggerfall websites, I came across an archived copy of a http://web.archive.org/web/20041206173653/http://www.rain.org/~cucumatz/daggerfall/quests.html that had numerous programs for hacking save game files and fixing these oddities, among many others. I've noticed that this guy is a forerunner of Interkarma's work - lots of early editors and other interesting stuff on this site. Of course, none of the links work anymore, but I've found it to be an interesting novelty. Does anybody still know if his utilities can be found anywhere?

Ah, Donald Tipton's old site. He and Dave Humprey are the Grand Methuselahs of Daggerfall hacking. A few of his tools are still up on http://andux.svatopluk.com/. I'm not sure where we could find the others.

Although, it appears we were working on the same things at around the same time. I released DF Explorer Beta1 in 2001, and Beta2 in 2002. DF Cartographer was released in 2003. If this was an evolutionary tree, Mr. Tipton and I probably both branch out from Dave Humphrey. I can remember Dave's file specs being up as early as 1999 when I started this crazy hobby.

Still, we all look like homo habilis next to LuciusDXL. He's firmly placed at the homo superior end of the scale. Now where did I put my banana? ;)

I posted a list of all the files of his I have. Unfortunately I'm missing quite a few, and I'm pretty sure some of the files I do have are older versions.
