Old Guns: Power up radio transmitter - easy in game fix

Post » Thu Jan 14, 2016 5:44 pm

So here's an easy in-game fix for anyone stuck in the Minutemen, Old Guns Quest. This is for you, if you are stuck where the radio transmitter will not activate due to a game glitch.

This is a very easy fix (although I spent tons of time experimenting before coming up with this), and it worked without a patch on my Xbox. After trying multiple power connection options, I finally disconnected everything to the radio transmitter and did the following:

1. Power > Generators - Create 3 Medium Generators (or enough for 11 power units).

2. Power > Miscellaneous - Create a "Terminal (9)". You will need the Hacker, Rank 1 Perk to do this.

3. Connect the wires from the generators directly to the Terminal first. Then, connect a wire from the Terminal to the radio transmitter.

Done! The radio transmitter will power up and you can continue the Old Guns Quest from there!

Hope this was helpful.

Didn't work for me. Didn't really expect it to since the power was already green. Tried just disconnecting everything and just using three new generators to power the transmitter via a terminal. Power still goes green. Minuteman still won't sit down and I can't re-activate it. Power icon green. Settler icon stays red.
