"Old Guns" Radio Mission Glitch PLEASE HELP!

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 8:31 pm

Hey, So I was completing the "Old Guns" minuteman mission in which I had to test the artillery at the end of the mission. I had put down a total of 5 artillery batteries and I was ready to throw the artillery smoke grenades so that I could finish the mission. However when I throw the smokes the guns do not fire. The mission marker says that I need to activate the radio tower in the center of the base. I thought I had already done this, because I have two large generators power it already and I could hear the announcements coming from the tower. When I went into build mode it says it requires a person to be assigned to it however when I try to assign a minuteman or a settler to it, it does not work. I even tried turning the radio on and off to try to get it to work . Why can't I complete the mission? I have watched videos where people have no problem with he tower, but for some reason I do. Why is this and how can I fix it? PLS HELP!!! If nobody has any suggestions or solutions do I have to go back to a save before the mission because it is permanently glitched?

(: <3 PLS HELP BETHESDA

It's a huge bug that a lot of people have. Be glad you caught it early. I was well over five hours out before I noticed my tower was no longer working. According to some, the trick seems to be either not tuning into the radio during the mission or not having as much artillery. Build just one. I don't know which it ends up being, but a quick search for Old Guns in the forums and in reddit should point you to some help.

Otherwise, just hope they address it in a patch. It's definitely a bug.

You're not the only one with this bug either, it happened to me once the Castle was attacked the first time. The minuteman who usually runs it seems to be glitched whenever he gets up from his chair at the radio station. I've not found a way to reverse it and I'm way past the point where I could reload a save to fix it. Best we can do is wait for the devs to fix it.
