Old people's naked bodies

Post » Wed Aug 17, 2011 5:33 pm

It would add realism...but advocates for the elderly, the disabled, and the obese would probably file a lawsuit.

Why would they? In fact, I would imagine that those 'advocates' would be pleased to see a change from 'perfection'. A realistic depiction would certainly be preferred, would it not? (given that it's a fantasy series and the implication might be that people should not look as they do)

Could it also be that on Nirn people are simply more active through-out their lives than we are?

This is true... People used to work harder and be more active than we do in our current era. And most people didn't retire at the age of 65--they worked until they either couldn't or they died. So...it's not entirely impossible for old people on Nirn to have a six pack.

(Omg, I can't believe I'm posting in this thread. I am clearly out of my mind...)

Never heard of Serge Nubret? You should check him out on youtube.... :sadvaultboy: Looks better than me at 70. RIP

Editwedit: Just an FYI: Everyone has a 'six pack', actually an 8 pack, its just that a lot of people today have too much body fat too see them. You dont even need to work them out. So long as you lower your body fat, you will see abs.

So if this is in Skyrim I will only loot the clothing of bodies below the age of 40.

People have six packs... it's just for some, the pack is hidden under excess layers of skin. I think you're missing the OP's point (no offense meant) though. What the OP was saying is how unrealistic it is for a man or woman clearly in his or her 60s or above to have the rock hard body of an athletic man or woman.

wow you must not be a true TES fan
everyone knows that the elderly people of the TES universe periodically decapitate young travelers and reattach their heads onto the fresh body in order to live longer
its pretty clearly stated in many different places in the lore
what a noob

haha but ya this really bugged me too
i hope the bodies match the age, especially when i make an ancient elf to play as

So devs can add old bodies, but not beast legs? No, don't count on it. It's either already in, or not.

I look at my poor old body, and think of all it's been through. Therefore, I rejoice, that in Tamriel, everyone is buff.

I have a rather portly friend who likes to joke that instead of the sixpack, he has the whole keg.

lol... well, I'm not really missing their point, I'm just stating a possible excuse for why everyone in Tamriel has a rock hard body. :D I was just playing along. (Thus, the thing at the bottom of that post, about calling myself insane for even posting that in the first place...) ;)

well being that there is no visible seam line between head and body anymore it may be one mesh covering them both now, which would mean that what you do to the face should be reflected on the body
