Old Skool Fallout Armour in FO NV

Obviously the T51b power armor is more of a classic, but the Advanced Power Armor is pretty baddass too :)

I hope it's like the T51-b armor in Fallout 3 because I really don't want the Enclave in this one.

I think that all this "I don't want the Enclave in the game" is just because FO3 left such a bad taste in our gaming mouth. It's already been said that there won't be a single major enemy in FNV like the Enclave was in FO3.

Having a few scattered outposts of the Enclave remnant doesn't sound too bad to me.

That's an old suit of power armor. You can tell it's been around since the time of Fallout 2.

Tubes on his helmet and his left arm clips through his armor covering the shoulder and neck. I guess it's unavoidable.

Player: "All right, put your hands up!"

Enclave Remnant: "I can't!"

Player: "Sure you can. Your president is gone, your commanding officer is gone, you have nobody to answer to anymore."

Enclave Remnant: "No, I mean I really can't!"

Thanks Obsidian, Chris Avellone, Josh Sawyer, Feargus Urquhart and other Obsidian guy ! Finally the real Enclave armor !!! Holy [censored] !!!

It's been months and months I expect it to be finally confirmed. My favorite armor, all five Fallout games included. It's unique, it impose respect and inspires awe and fear !

It looks impressive, I hope theres an option to take your power armor to a car wash, all of that grime on the eye lenses would make it a bit difficult to survive in combat

Finally, power armor covering that small patch of skin in between the glove and the pip boy that annoys me for some reason. Now I know what I'll be going round the wasteland in for pretty much the whole game.

That asymmetrical helmet is going to be a thorn in my side so long as I wear the armor.

I am so happy to see Advanced Power Armor included in the game, can't wait to run around the Mojave wasteland decked out in that.

yeah yeah burned man.... hanged man.... same thing in my books, it wasn't his name that defined him but how terribly evil and awesome he was.... oh and how he was burnt. If he is in FO NV, maybe you don't find him hanging like in Van Buren so instead hes the burned man.

i was thinking that he was the burned man until you find him hanging then he goes by the hanged man

That armor isn't going to look very good with any other hemet, and the same might apply with the helmet not matching any other armor. Because we all know that walking around the wasteland in mismatched armor in completely unacceptable. I'm only really a little concerned since some factions might take offense at me wearing Enclave armor and I think that wearing a different helmet or something would identify me as an independent badass that killed an Enclave soldier and took his armor.

I doubt you'll run into additional complications just because you're wearing the Enclave's original Advanced Power Armor. I imagine its inclusion is just fan service much like the inclusion of the T-51b in Fallout 3 was. I'm not really expecting anyone to care, or even respond to the fact that you're wearing it.

Its fairly obvious it is in considering this is an image from Fallout New Vegas, I like it personally and I'm glad to have added into the game. :tops:

It kind of reminds me of the Turian armors in Mass Effect. Kind of wondering how powerful it's going to be in comparison with the other armors. It would be nice to have maybe 6 or 7 different Power Armors so you don't end up with a specific game ending armor set. You know, ease into it like with the weapons. They did say that there were lower level versions of things like Energy Weapons to make different play styles more viable, so why shouldn't the same apply to armors?

I was actually thinking it looked a little like Krogan armor because on the shoulder/neck parts of the armor being raised. :tops:

I loved the Power Armor but it was all about what mood I was in if I was going to wear them sometimes you don't want to be a walking tin can, Usually I just stuck with Reilly's Ranger Armor, Poplar's Hood, and Sunglasses. (It kept light enough to be sneaky and stuck with my Ranger persona.) :)

Ranger Armor was my top choice before I could use the Power Armor. I never really used stealth too much except for sneak attack criticals so there was no need to ever leave my Power Armor unless I couldn't quite reach a ledge and needed to drop the Agility hit. It would be nice if they put the HERMES Armor that was supposed to be in Van Buren in the game. It was supposed to be an elite combat armor that provided protection on par with some power armors without any of the drawbacks. ATHENA Power Armor would be nice too. It would be nice if they increased the amount of armors, since there were only a few really different armors.

Since factions actually react to your choice of attire now, I can't wait to see if walking into a bunker or settlement with this thing on causes some serious negative reactions.

Maybe some townspeople flee on sight and others like the BOS just shoot on sight.

Then again, the Enclave were kind of a covert presence in FO2, they weren't really the widespread terror and public menace they came across as recently in the capital so the wastelanders back on the coast forty years later that don't have much history with them probably wouldn't have that many alarm bells to set off.

Still though, the BOS had their eye on the Enclave's dfangerous activities and tech even before FO3, not to mention a nasty encounter with Frank Horrigan. If nobody else, I can't imagine them not doing a double take with you possibly walking up to them with this maybe rare armor.

The texture was only begun this week... I'ts a massive multilayer photoshop file that I'm still tweaking and fiddling with. The one in the sig is old, and has a checkered grid as a temp texture. :foodndrink:

It looks great , but not sure if their helmets are supposed to be that big? The helms reminds me of vultures or some sort of carrion bird.

I also hope for a disgruntled old remnant, also be cool to see him go beserk when confronting Marcus and such or vice versa.

They look nothing alike, yet the FO2 Enclave helmet and shoulders always remind me of the first aliens in Fifth Element. :bonk:

(The more I look at it, the more that alien looks like Supermutant power armor )
