old style guns

agreed very biased pole.. by the way fable one was awesome..fable two was horrible.. fable 3 was the worst game ever.. that series went to hell

This is one of my favorite posts. The first Fable (and The Lost Chapters expansion) was awesome, a little too easy, but still had an epic feel to it. The boss battles were fantastic, Jack of Blades is one of my favorite characters of all time, and was a great endgame boss battle (both times). Fable 2's endgame boss battle was pulling a trigger, and you didn't even have to pull it yourself. I didn't buy 3, I was smart. My friends weren't, they complain about it a lot. Those developers are tards.

Yes

But

I'm for the kind of encounter similar to the Scrolls of Icarian Flight.

Maybe something like you stumble into a remote workshop where there's a mad inventor with a long beard and monocle. He's supper happy bececause he just invented the best weapon around! A 04ww nug! "here, watch this!" (often an inventor's last words). He holds up the nug, a long metal tube with a handle and trigger. He pulls the trigger, and instead of shooting away from the inventor, the nug shoots directly INTO the inventor, causing the poor chap's death. Alas, this was the only prototype, and the plans and ideas died with the inventor's mind. Sigh. c'est la guerre!

So, it's like a tweak....a gun that's not really a gun, That's a MASH Easter Egg, that works but doesn't work, and that the character can't have it because it's a one-shot deal!

Or

We could get into laser rifles, which are really just horizontal sticks that shoot shocking bolts ;)

edit: then again, I wouldn't sell any Golden Pantaloons either ;)

Guns? Yeah tons of them, and space ships. While we're at it, lets change it into an alternate reality WWI RTS. /wrists.

They don't need guns in a world where they can shoot fire from their hands.

One handed crossbows to work with the new spell equip system, but that's all that's really necissary.

The nine ten people who voted yes should be captured and tagged for future study. Perhaps a small microchip needs to be implanted in their flesh -- one with the ability to deliver a jolt of electricity to their nervous system whenever they attempt to play any title in the elder scrolls series. :shocking:

Nah, some of us just think a bit more creatively :P ;)

There's so many knee-jerk no's as opposed to being creative and thinking up a way to have a gun, yet not have it.

Another one: that I alluded to before was the Golden Pantaloons enigma from Baldurs Gates. That quest was so obscure and drawn out that who on Earth would have thought about keeping someone's dirty laundry in a game made what, litterally 6 years before the ending of the quest with the Big Metal Rod?

Agreed. That was my problem with the poll as well.

More like a NONOnonONONNOnonono!!>!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!1/1/1/1?!?!?!?(starts tantrum and bangs head against wall) option.

I wouldn't care for it and rather they didn't but I wouldn't be furious like some people are, I would just ignore the guns. And people shouldn't worry TES has been through alot of games without technological progress well universe wise anyways.

I'd like it to stay at the most as Renaissance period kind of thing. Even though the actual Renaissance period of thinking vasts from person to persn in opinion but has the gist of the timeline I would like it to stay.

While I do realise that Elder Scrolls are not set in any specific time period and that it is pure fantasy set on a purely fantastic world, not Earth, not this reality etc. Guns are absolutely wrong for that setting, would ruin the feel and would put me off even buying Skyrim. So...that's a No.

At the most, maybe a gunpowder fueled crossbow or sorts. Would be interesting. But actual firearms? No.

The poll is 217 No, and 15 Yes. How is this still a topic around here? Accept that there will not be guns, and practically nobody want's them.
