No thanks
Defnitely crossbows though. They were in earlier TES games and have been found as far back as the 6th century BC in China

Bad argument. Gunpowder was in use in China from as early as the 10th century and had made it to Europe by the 13th century. Guns, or at least cannons, were used in the 100 year war which went from about 1337 to 1453

It seems that people create accounts and post this stuff just to rile people up.

TES does not fit into any historical time period. So to compare it to the Middle Ages is bad to begin with. The fact that it was used as an argument against guns just makes it even worse. Case and point, TES has full plate armor. Guns, or cannon, were in use long before the development of full plate which wasn't developed until the late 14th century.

@Dragonborn1: Yes, it is, though all I really needed wiki for was the specific dates. I knew the time frames well enough already without it.

It's pretty much unanimous, but I have a question... what if the game took place in akaviri?

They don't need guns in a world where they can shoot fire from their hands.

Well the reason why i compared it to the middle ages is because the idea was from then. I guess the closest one was Oblivion while the others compare a new different world. (morrowind) With weapons in the early middle ages.

I'd like to first point out I'm anti-guns.

By that logic you wouldn't need any weapons.

Yes to crossbows, no to guns.

Yes, the crossbow. Sometimes you have to take a silent takedown.

I'd expect the Tong Mo to be based off the saiyans, spikey hair and all, before I'd expect guns in Akaviri.

Now, staffs are pretty much guns all ready. Change the way you hold one and that pretty much is what it is. Not only that, but the ammo for said guns in Morrowind actually recharged. Even in Olivion, the ammo was universal for each staff no matter what kinda effect it shot out. If they give us wands, then we'll have pistols. Staffs are now one handed so it'll be possible to dual wield guns. And if they give us a larger two handed staff...there's you're rocket launcher.

I really don't know why people get up in arm's about guns, when we got the magic equivalent on steroids blasting away at enemies.
