OLD witch clothes

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 8:27 pm

Hi people

I was browsing the nexus looking for some dark and mysterious looking robes and hats for a witch but i haven't found any that
looks suitable for my character. My character is a rather filthy looking old crone and i want her look like she has lived in some
muddy hut far off in the woods all on her own for a century and as such the clothes should look dirty, worn and preferably large,
dark and menacing with an enourmus hat.

I have the impression that 99% of all Oblivion players play young, female Mystic Elves with skimpy clothing. So good luck...

Personally, I think the necromancers' robes and a dark hood from the vanilla game are just fine. Or, if you have "Shivering Isles," a Heretic uniform is even better.

If you must use mod'ed clothing for your witch, though, your choices seem pretty slim. Seems like most of the male clothing mod's are for scary-looking characters and most of the female clothing mod's are for erotic-looking characters. That comes with the territory when you consider the demographic that plays Oblivion.

Although fortuitously, http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=6273 It looks the part, I think.

Yeah, i noticed that when i started to look for clothes and it felt like i had stumbled into a shop for S&M outfits that were discarded for being too skimpy for normal S&M :/

Do you have any links to any clothes like that for males? Maybe those'll fit good enough.

Hedberger, I feel your pain. I was so disgusted once I downloaded all the stuff to see if I could make my own gear. I even started some elven armor. Jury says I blow at modeling LMAO. But at least I tried LOL.

Here, try this. Don't let the name fool you, it might be just what you are after. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16121

This is not a clothing mod, but http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29853 might allow you to turn yourself into an old hag with a hunchback, or at the very least make you a little more chubby or something like that.
Then all that's left to do is find the right clothing, but that Lich Gear does look very much like what you've described. (And if you were thinking about other textures - retexturing that thing is an easy task and I'm sure you'll find somebody to do it.)

I did some searching for you:

Clothes: Not very many to choose from. I'll agree with Moonmover here. Best use something already in game. Also have to vouch for Lich Gear. Good stuff.

Slof's Robe Trader. Your very best bet. Take a look at the pics!
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24320

(I would also check out Slof's Robe of the Dark Arts http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25897 )

Celtic Witch Clothes. You'll need BAB or UFF for this though...and they show a little too much for an ugly old hag. Of course, she could be a disgusting ugly old hag. :P With a tasteful way of dressing.

Beyond Clothes:

Witch Throne: A nice place to call home...or to be used for ritual under the stars.
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25617

Reaper's Drakelowe Witch: Now you're not the only witch...
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23717

New Rideable Brooms: Something to get around on...
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20603

OR

Enchanted Ridable Broomsticks
http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8856
and fixed version (requires original first)
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26231

Wands: Hurray!
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16418

Crystal Balls
Better Texture (makes them cloudy and all mysterious lookin.)
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20019
Crystal ball scrying! (makes 'em useful)
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15501

And there are lots of spell mods, and some that specialize with dark magic. So, happy hunting!

No mod, but the dark elf that comes out of the door to SI is dressed in three scruffy pieces. The way they look when you put them on a woman may be what you want. Sorry, no hat though.

You'd think that if that many users were using Mystic Elves there would be more textures available for them. I love Ren's elves. You must be mixing hers up with the 30-ish spin-offs: "Four New Races for Rens", Isn't there an "Elves Compilation" or something and oh, so many other types of Elves... Lineage II, Nec's remakes... The skimpy is HGEC and Exnem (and the E+ cups), not Ren's mod... :(

I feel your pain, hedberger. Been looking for mods to make something closely resemble the warriors of chaos (specifically Tzeentch), and it's really [censored] hard to wade through skimpy outfits that have not even the closest resemblance I wanted. I can only imagine how much more difficult it must to be look for dirty robes fit for female characters that don't involve extremely micro bikinis with balloons for briasts

Someone should suggest for a bunch of modders to get together and form a team to model and texture a bunch of actual medieval/ancient/renaissance clothing to fulfill the need...haha... ^_^

Not to mention a real mod that brings in different age groups... Most of the children mods are kinda iffy at the moment, at least from what I have seen. Things like skeletal variation hold lots of promise though. I'd like to see a bent over old man walking around with a cane. Or kids with large heads, or teens with gangly limbs.
