St. Olms

St. Olms is a new town I am creating that rests on the eastern mountainside of the Bitter Coast. It is west of Caldera, and rests right where the West Gash Region and the Bitter Coast intersect. As you can see in the picture, it is a town that commemorates Saint Olms the Just, Patron of Chandlers and Clerks, founder of the Ordinators (took that from the wiki  ) There will be some connection to Saint Olms, of course, but the town itself will be full of corrupt citizens. The thieves' guild thrives here, and they have a home base hidden quite well. Just finding the thieves' guild entrance will take some exploration and skills in the stealthy arts. The thieves' guild will take up most of the quests (as it is my favorite guild), but I intend on adding misc. quests along with a unique shop, a house to purchase, an inn, and some local NPCs with all types of personality.

One neat thing about this mod is that I literally only had to move two rocks, and raise the landscape a little bit in 4-5 areas to create this mountainside town. Nothing else was moved or deleted. The trees fit in perfectly.

I'll update this thread as progress is implemented, and I'm up for listening to any ideas you people might have. This will be my second released mod, but I have an extensive knowledge of scripting, and keeping mods as clean as you can make them. Hell, I plan on making every unique model have "CM_CM_" in front of it, to keep it from conflicting.

Thanks for reading,

For your info, image tags are disabled on these forums. Just have a link to your picture.

Looks good. What have you gotten done so far? I see the exterior looks nicely done, but have you started on interiors?

It looks very nice, but the name seems odd considering that there already is a place in Vvardenfell called St. Olms.

I thought that was just St Olm's Canton, in Vivec? I didn't know there was a city.

I was thinking of changing it and either making up a saint or using another from Morrowind lore, such as Saint Felms or Rilms. As of right now it isn't important, I just needed a contradictory name for a town full of corruption.

Its very well done. The landscape really does seem to have been made just for St. Olms!

EDIT: Removed idea. I misread the OP so the idea was irrelevant.

Agreed, it's only Canton so I don't find it confusing to see a town/village.

Here's a closer look at St. Rilms. I changed it to St. Rilms, the saint of the poor, who once dressed as a beggar to experience their sorrows. What a perfect saint for a town full of corrupt, rich people. The hlaalu building that is furthest away is the Ronaldin Manor.

Here's an inside picture of the Vercu Manor. This manor will play a huge role in the majority of quests in this mod. It also houses the mayor, Deja Vercu.

I've been moving this mod along slowly, but it's still alive. I'm in the middle of my busy season with work (travel agent, March-May means school trips), but when I get free time I like to mess around with the Construction Set. I'm basically done with the exterior, besides some foliage and decorations, and about half of the buildings you see have interiors that are finished.

Here is a before and after picture of a couple days work:

Here are some more pictures of the outside of St. Rilms:
