OMG NEW MAP PACK! 17/05/2011

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 11:38 am

Looks like that EA has nothing to do with this... Cuz DICE and Crytek got EA as developer...

Crytek just needs to stop as a company they screwed this game completetly we went from a game like crysis 1 and crysis warhead state of the art graphics at the time people used crysis as a building block for enthusiast gamers to build there pcs now we got this wich supposidly has a crytek 3 engine but runs on dx 9 and is missing almost every feature we wanted this game should have never been released to us in the state its in.

Crytek just want to make money. Still allow cheating, DX11 patch is nowhere in sight. I will never buy any Crytek game.

Ugh. I paid $60 for this game. And I'll have you know, Crytek, that I did not pay for a Xbox 360 port. I won't do it again.

Id be willing to pay 60 bucks for some much needed Wars work. Clean up the vehicle problems, add a couple nice maps to the mix. Hell im havin way more fun playin Wars in its current state then I ever have with C2.
The community has grown quite a bit as well, seems like people are finally starting to have good enough pc's to run it. IMO Crysis Wars still has a chance to have a much more sucessful multiplayer than C2. If youve recently upgraded your pc I highly recommend reinstalling or buying Warhead and Wars, theres some cool ass shlt going on in there.

As for C2, I wont be spending a dime.

The witcher was an overhyped console RPG, linear and most of all boring. Not what I would call a true PC game.
What? The witcher was non-linear PC exclusive, easily one of the greatest RPGs of the decade.

Firsts stages of The Witcher were indeed a little boring. I can understand people that think the game was overrated.

But if you keep playing it, you'll find that the game is truly amazing and very inmersive.
Try it, it's only 5$.

I dont play much RPG. I though ME1 and 2 were pretty epic rpg. But there is something about the witcher that hooked me. I think it was the story.

The witcher 2 has awesome combat. It has non linearity of Alpha protocal (highly underrated game) and graphics of metro 2033 caliber.
The game is pc exclusive that means custom graphics options......i am pointing at u crytek

And if you buy it from their purchasing platform it's DRM-free.

It's heartwarming to see that still are there developers that love PC gaming.

It's not really Crytek fault we're going to be charged for that DLC (we're going, you can dream about free, but let's face it, ain't gonna happen).
I'd say we should blame EA, but honestly it's how game companies are working these days: make console game -> port it to PC -> release small DLC and charge for them.
I doubt there will be editor also, because it'll mean we'll be able to make own maps, ergo DLC won't sell.
But we could at least get proper support, Crytek owe it to us. But again, it can, or can not happen. If they want to be fair, they'll support, if they won't it will mean they only care about cash. It's simple as that.

They should all learn from Valve, proper support, awesome DLC's.

Ea and crytek are both to blame ea for being the money hungry bastards they are and crytek for dropping the ball and giving us this piece of garbage called crysis 2.

Couldn't agree more, but C2 isn't piece of garbage, it's a game that lacks of support. It'd be awesome without all the bugs wouldn't it?

That it would be just like crysis might be worth saving if they gave us the support and fixes we ask for instead of trying to get more money out of us.

You can do that if your game is bug free, your costumers are satisfied and your community is big enough to divide between people with/without the DLC.

Is not the case of Crysis 2 in any point.
I'd rather that they didn't release any DLC at all, at least the community shouldn't be divided.

True, I'd gladly buy mappack if we'd have bug-free game. It'd be a pleasure then. But now, I think half of the people won't be able to enjoy the pack because of bugs.

Let us not forget the hackers too im sure theyll ruin the experience for those that have the map packs too.

I think I was pretty lucky so far, or maybe blind cause I haven't seen hacker so far. The fact is I don't play too much of a MP either so..
Let's face it, there's no hacker-free or bug-free game, but at least they can try.

now see whats the difference between fallout new vegas DLC and crysis 2 DLC? they both are just to milk some more money and frankly fallout disapointed me with graphics since its absolutely the same engine as Fallout 3.

At least the Fallout DLC is for singleplayer, and the hats from Valve games don't divide the multiplayer community.
You may buy or not buy the hats, but no server will kick you for not having it.

Map packs are a different matter.

Look at Mass Effect 2.

Despite its consolized features on the PC platform, it is relatively bug-free over Crysis 2. That alone made me PAY FOR EACH AND EVERY DLC that was offered for the game. To this day, I spent about $60 on DLC for Mass Effect 2 because each DLC package was WORTH IT.

Crysis 2 is so bugged I don't even want to pay 99 cents for a map pack, let alone ten bucks.

As always, students at my college are pirating your game. I will not stop them. You (CryTek) are outstopping the future of games integrity. Our college's game design students are more genuine than you guys ever will be. Once tarnished, always tarnished.

lol i got this game for 1395php on retail stores here in the philippines, that is roughly $31 compared to USD.

Though im a little dissapointed with the bugs, hackers and others annoying stuffs.

DLC better be free or game + community will be dead!!

Peaceout
