How the hell can they release a map pack while the game is in such a state?
Because these maps were ready before release, scheduled to be released now. It's how DLC works nowadays, unless it's Valve.

Try not to be surprised when it costs ￡15.

Why any PC Gamer would buy this is beyond me. We should be making our own maps, not buying pre-built maps from Crytek. They got my money when they sold the Xbox 360 version for the PC, and I'm not giving them any more money until they finish building the PC Version.

I hope the maps are free! I am getting bored of the current maps now already... Plus those that buy will be playin with themselves cos I don't think anyone would pay for stuff that should have been there to begin with...

Guys but these maps should be for free download. In the other hand - how they could protect this map pack to not land on warez?
I think its impossible because the mappack itself should be somehow merged with the gamesas account or even EA account and then "if map pack has been purchased, start playing on map xyz".

As for now people have problems with their cd keys and logins from gamesas.com and there is no verification of .pak files - another buggy option related to map packs would kill this game. So I think this map pack will be for free download.

Interesting it coincides with the launch date of Brink. Sorry but based on the state crysis 2 multiplayer is in I'll be spending my money on brink. Not the map packs. Bethesda softworks is getting my money this month. You already cheated me in march crytek. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.

I already posted on a foum last week Crytek would release something big to try and knock down Brink cause they will lose more players to Brink so they need to stop it.

Definately strategic playing Crytek.

Anyways I'm looking forward to the maps, just hope they are free!

I'm excited about it! But I wish that they would fix the bugs and implement better anti-cheats to the game. Moreover, IINM the weapon balance has not been patched for the PC version.
