OMG! The Framerate is horrible on Next Gen systems!

Shinji Makami has always had high standards! Up until this point all his games have been a masterpieces, not only gameplay wise but performance wise. When I heard about Evil Within, I avoided all trailers or articles regarding this game. I wanted to be surprised! I expected this game to run at 720/30fps on last gen systems and 1080p/60fps on next gen systems. The texture pop-in is so bad!!! It reminds me more of a first generation, last generation game!

I have never been so disappointed in a game in all my life! I was shocked to see how choppy this game was on my PS4. All the excitedment I had over this game, all the anticipation, the money I spent, I want that back! Why would you put out such a poor product? I really want my money back!

A bad framerate? The cut scene looked like they were running at 20fps. Controls feel sluggish due to the frame rate.

But, according to gstaff, the game plays damn good at a constant 30fps, surely they wouldn't lie.
Old engine, half a screen, jaggies everywhere, sub 1080p and they can't even get it up to 30fps. This is 2014, I cannot believe this is running on the same hardware as second son.

I'm personally just shocked! Reviewers failed to mention the performance issues. Maybe they thought they'd be ironed out before it's release. This really doesn't give me confience in future products by Bethesda. I'm really getting tired of developers locking the frame rate.

Well, some of the smaller companies that gave it lower scores mentioned the sloppy framerate, and criticised the borders, but the larger companies don't. I wonder why that would be?

Another guy on this forum mentioned that he's on chapter 5 and the frame rate feels like it's running at 15 fps at times. Initially, thought it might be because the game was installing (in the background) and that could be why it was running so poorly. It seems like it's just poorly programmed.
