Once and for all, Werewolves are in it, or not?

Post » Sat Aug 20, 2011 12:10 pm

No. Werewolves are untouched. Twilight sh*t all over skinwalkers, and by extension the culture of my ancestors.

What the... so what a teen drama movie says about a supernatural force does anything to lessen the supernatural force in your eyes?

Pretty sad...

What they said:

What that probably means:

not exactly... he avoids the question if you read it closely. they're trying to keep as much secret as they can so we have to discover most things on our own.

There was quite a leader when official word was given that werewolves would not be returning into 'Oblivion'...

What do you mean there was was quite a leader? Fuhrer literally means leader.

Thank you for the correction...No...The spell check got me...I meant furor, ruckus, commotion...

Its driving me nuts, I see one thing answering this same question just worded differently, speaking very matter of factly that they would be in it, then I see something else entirely elsewhere, most are excited about it, but then suddenly most of the posts call fake on it, yet still say it pretty much will happen anyway.

So, I want to know, is this gonna happen? And if it is in DLC, some expansion to it, then I would want that. But, in full game, via DLC, or not at all (which would be very irritating...)?

It was settled once and for all in the fan interview when Todd said they simply were not going to talk about that, whether in or out. You'll just have to wait till the game comes out. You can find the fan interview at the top of this forum.

Noooooooooooo. That's what Todd wants you to think.

He makes it mysterioso and secrecious so the game feels much bigger than it actually is. If he listed all the features the game would feel very flat.

Keepin' things secret so:
  • Fans aren't pissed off and don't complain if it isn't in
  • As said above, to make the game appear bigger than it actually is (encouraging fans to speculate and expect greatness)

Todd said all this wonderful stuff about horses and the animations being revamped, and the combat feeling much more reactive... Then we see him playing the demo and all that great stuff I was expecting (and was ready to pay for!) wasn't anywhere near as good as he made it out to be.
Still amazing - I mean it's THE ELDER SCROLLS of course it's amazing - but nowhere near as good as he said it would be.

i have hope that they will include this feature, i mean todd says he loves reading the forums and werewolf threads dwarf the other categories... so why not appease the fanbase?

If they don't put Werewolves in the game now I'm sure they'll make an expansion for them. Then people can't complain that the game isnt similar to Morrowind. :P Edit: In the podcast theres also a sliver of information that hints that they might announce it as the release date draws closer.

Here's my view on it: Yes and no. Yes, they will be in the game. No, they won't appear right away. Maybe in the weeks after the release, they'll put out a DLC. If you look into it, they're apart of Nordic history, so why not.

I would rather Bethesda making vampires super-awesome-cool than spend time making werewolves.

While these Twilight type movies have portrayed werewolves and vampires in a less than appealing way to our tastes, if that ruins them for you that's your problem.

Ohhhh...I think they could do both: Blood-svcking parasitic leeches and werewolves if they wanted...

Would anyone buy the game if the head guy came out and said, "Well, the animations are alright. I mean, they aren't a big pile of steaming crap or anything. The combat is not really changing much at all. You know, it will be average at best and look a lot like the last game"......

Wow, that screams pre-order to me!

Seriously though, you are right. A lot of it is just hype and marketing.

The Fallout 3 pace that we did was very chaotic. We did a lot of them – we had two overlapping groups – and we don’t know what we’re going to make yet, but we’d like them to be closer to an expansion pack feel. We don’t have any specific plans yet, but they’ve been really successful and we like making them. So right now I can say that we’d like to do less DLC but bigger ones – you know, more substantial.

Vampires? Vampires have been defiled by the perverse ********** that we know as Twilight.

I saw, I think you may be misinformed though (which, when it comes to Twilight, isn't necessarily a bad thing). One of the parts of Twilight's love triangle is a werewolf (or Twilight's horrible, horrible sparkly corruption of a werewolf at any rate)
