One and a half months of pure, dire agony.

One and a half months till Skyrim reaches my xbox. The agony, the torture..

Post how you'll cope with this cliffhanging wait of one and a half months of pure suffering

I gather that Pure Dire Agony to forge into a sword when the game comes out :teehee:

<> Oblivion: I'll re-beat this one after Morrowind.

Also keeping me preoccupied.

I'll be living my life exactly as normal, with Skyrim being only an occasional presence in my mind.

Leaving the forums alone might be a good first step. Then I suggest distancing yourself from the internet by turning the computer off and moving away from it. Then you need to find something engaging. I thoroughly recommend books and films. There're quite a few to pick from, and some of them are even pretty similar to Skyrim ;)

I'm still playing Morrowind again, maybe Oblivion later.
The upcoming TES novel Lord of Souls will be a fun read and then I've got RAGE to play after.
And on the final stretch it's Battlefield 3 time!

I've absolutely 0 games to play with in the meantime. Heck, I've even svcked down every minute of Dragon Age 2... :(

But as it seems BF3 will run smoothly with my (relatively) humble GTX 560 Ti, I guess I'll play it when it comes out. Desperate measures...

EDIT 25 October???!?! Su put... madre. I believed it'd came out sooner than that! :(

I'm currently playing Portal. I saw in a Gamespot news item that until the 20th, Valve is giving it away for free so I grabbed it. It won't last me until Skyrim though, so I imagine I'm gonna throw together a new build of New Vegas and give that one last run. I'll actually finish it this time, something that I never did before because finishing it actually ends the game.

52 days is going to be brutal, I'll probably get a New Vegas playthrough done but once the 21st of Oct comes around I'm taking a 3 week break from playing the 360 until I get Skyrim.

The only game other than Skyrim (that's coming out in the near future) that I'm anxious to play is Uncharted 3. And being that its release date is 11-1, I still have a wait ahead of me. Looks like I'll just be sitting here in front of my computer pining away, checking the forums and the latest Skyrim news until November.

I wish they would at least release the Skyrim strategy guide early so I could get familiar with everything. Releasing it the same day as the game keeps me from buying it since, once I have the game, I won't want to spend any time reading a book. That and all the tips and tricks will be online anyway. IMO they'd get waaay more sales of the guide if they released it in October. I guess they just want us in the dark as much as possible about the game until it's released so our heads will fully explode on 11-11. :shocking:

Like everyone else I have other games and there are some good ones coming out but I'd trade them all today for Skyrim. After waiting 5-years for a new ES game, I wish that I could open a time gate and step through to 11/11/11. The closer it gets the more I want it...

Since my social life will end on 11.11.11 I'm going to have a six marathon to balance out some months of abstinence. Actually I'm a little worried on what my gf will do in the meantime.

Heh. Even though I'm getting the game on release day, I can't play it until I get this PC upgraded (unless it does 640x480 at minimum detail!).

I have the game on pre-order through Amazon but unlikely to play it before Christmas. Need to upgrade my PC and wait for all the on-release bugs to be squashed.....

I've been really excited since the day it was announced - I cooled off and tried not to think about it for a while, staying off the forums, but now that it's so close I am getting super psyched about it again. It's nothing compared to how it felt at the beginning of the year though, because it's so close.

Same situation here. Not that I mind, though.

Well I just made a Khajiit Assassin on Oblivion a few minutes ago, [censored] the Arena atm. Once I get bored of that, I dunno. If I can get to the city I'll buy something, but if not my time will be spent watching the clock and... *tic* - YAY!... *toc* - YEAH!... *tic* - WOOOO!... *toc*

Work, planning for a baby, and working on the house takes up a lot of time... However, I still manage to have tons of time to obsess over Skyrim. So right now, I'm playing through the Dark Brotherhood quests again, just to pass the time. And I'll try becoming a vampire with my Dunmer female from Vicente Valtieri, and see how that really works. I never gave vampirism a real chance due to how fugly it made my characters. After that, I might try the Fighters Guild quests again, that was one that I didn't play that much.

Also, scour the forums and internet for new information.

I'm crunching everything I have to learn for university this semester into the next two months, so when Skyrim comes out, I'll take a few weeks off. :)

As far as gaming goes, I'm playing Darksiders right now. Great fun!

This is like a deja vu... First Morrowind, next Oblivion, and now Skyrim... I play Arena and Daggerfall too... I can almost measure my life with every TES game... Arena (20 years old), Daggerfall (22 years old), Morrowind (28 years old), Oblivion (32 years old), Skyrim (37 years old)... I have memories of how I felt in those moments of waiting... Oh, ancient memories...
