So I heard in the interview that we could only have one companion, be it a dog, or mercenary, or whatever. But what about the spouse? Do they count as a companion for this purpose?

We can meet a person, woo them, wed them, have them move into our house and then what? Does that mean that we can never have any other companion or does a spouse follow a separate set of rules?
