If one Elder Scrolls were to be re-made, which one would you

Not much to explain. Just Post why you picked your choice.

I voted Oblivion. Morrowind got the game it deserved and was portrayed quite well, whereas Oblivion, while quite enjoyable and having better game mechanics, just felt a bit more empty. Like there was more potential to make it much better than Morrowind but a lot of it was wasted.

Id love to see that be redone.

While I say where you're coming from, I just think with Oblivion its best to just move on.

I voted Morrowind because it already had a great world, great story, ect. but could use game play, graphics improvement, and other little things (like allowing the player to join Dagoth Ur and defeat the Tribunal) that would make it probably the best game ever,

That would be awesome, but to get the amount of detail to make it cool, it'd probably take a decade or two to develop.

Damn, you're right! Hmm, but I don't think that option was up when I voted...

So did Daggerfall. :)

No, it only had the Illiac Bay region, but it seemed big cause of all the content.

I voted for Oblivion too. It's a great game, but the setting felt very sterile and monotonous. As a province Cyrodiil deserved much better than this.

daggerfall. already a great design, but could use shinier graphics :P

i'm assuming re-made means updated, not completely re-imagined.

I voted Oblivion because to me, as in comparison to Morrowind, it felt extremely empty.. I mean don't get me wrong, I love Oblivion. It's just that Oblivion doesn't feel as artistically deep or diverse, it lacks alot of original thought where Morrowind really pushed the bar with that..

If by remade, you mean brought up to current or last-gen graphics: Daggerfall gets my vote.

If you mean remade as in completely redone from scratch into a different but way better game: Oblivion

The best present would be to release the source code like what id did for DOOM and Quake. The new user-made engines for Daggerfall and Morrowind would progress much easier, perhaps. And stuff like OBSE and MWSE could really sink their teeth into the enigma of the Gamebryo engine.

i voted daggerfall because even though its the only one i havent played from what i've heard it had a huge skill set and tons of books and cool thinks like that which would be awesome and add replayability. i think that at least for me oblivion was just a waste it was fun for a while but im done with it and will never go back and to remake the last game that came out is stupid. Morrowind was awesome and as nice as i would like a few of the glitches fixed and the graphics updated i could just go buy it for the pc and get some mods to do that but im still content playing it as is. arena is cool in the idea of i like having the whole of tamriel but i just dont think beth could do that right at this point they need to stick to one province and just up the quality of their games because for me they fell off a bit. even with the things fallout did well (speechcraft for one is way better than both MW and OB) i still think they could do much better and i believe that they have.

Morrowind. The full country with the original concept of the blight gradually spreading.

Daggerfall.

It seemed SO huge and epic when I first played it, yet you can't update a classic.

If it was done I think it would be great. Having a new province to explore...maybe Skyrim?

I'm inclined to say "none of them" because they are all pretty fantastic as they are.

But the more I think about it, the more I think that both Battlespire and Redguard needed their fair shake and they didn't really get it. Adventure games are, unfortunately, passe, so Redguard doesn't make sense in the current market climate, but Battlespire? Given the momentum that Bethesda has now, if they made a nice action/RPG hybrid like that now they could rake in all sorts of cash.

And it would probably be pretty fun too!

Oblivion for me. An overhaul of the story and setting coupled with cel shaded graphics would make Oblivion teh best game evar!

Personally, I don't want any of them remade. I want a new game.

In a dream, Bethesda plans next 10 years,

one engine
constantly developing
modable to bits
release province after province
in the same worldspace
completing NIRN

Daggerfall. As far as I can see, it has everything going for it except it's dated visuals. Brought up to modern standards...

I know people are going to hate, but I voted Morrowind. Remake that with Obliv-level graphics and full VO, for real, and I would be super-pleased.

Fact is, when MW came out, either my family didn't have a 'real' computer yet (for some time I typed up highschool homework on a 486), or it was our first half-decent computer, that might have met the minimum requirements. Either way, Morrowind was not on my radar. When I did get into proper PC gaming; I was happy playing UT and Q3.

When Oblivion entered the pre-release hype cycle, I started reading about MW's scale, depth, and modability, and was impressed, but I didn't pick it up.

Last year I got the game off a friend, DL'd some graphics mods, and tried to get into it. Couldn't do it.

Since Oblivion came out, I've had my own income, and have kept my PC up to date with top-end graphics. Between never playing MW back in the day (that is, without a personal sense of nostelga to make it more endurable), and having become quite a comfortable PC graphics elitist, I found MW unable to hold my attention - it was ugly, and blown up to fit my 23" flat's native resolution, the text was a pain to read.

Everything I've heard about MW's game design sounds great, but in its current state, I cannot get into it and experience it myself.
