One handed hammers could be a bit like Thor's war hammer in the avengers. It would be awesome if us heavy armour tanks could be even more tankish by having the ability to wield a hammer and shield.

They could probably be half the size of war hammers and be the largest one handed weapons that caused most damage, but were also the slowest. You would sheathe and unsheathe the hammers like you do with war axes. Perks would be things like having a 20 percent chance to stun with normal attacks from the hammers.

I just think that they would be frikin amazing. I mean, imagine a guy in full maxed out steel plate with dual enchanted one handed hammers. Awesome right? What are your thoughts and ideas?

But i do think there should be more of a difference between maces swords and axes etc.

meh... i cant see any reason to dislike them, but i dont see any reason to want them either so... for me personally its kinda the same like if you were asking for 2-handed daggers or any other possible weapon combination one could ever think of
