One handed/ spellcaster perks?

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 5:39 am

I'm playing a one handed sword style with destruction spells in the other hand, and I'm starting to run into hiccups, especially against pyromancers. I'm using light armour and Heavy armoured boots and gauntlets.

I've put a few perks in one handed and the fire aspect of destrruction tree, a messed up and put 3 into heavy armour before I settled on my playstyle. The other perks I've put in alchemy, enchanting and smithing, and I'm level 28.

I'm really not sure how to develop my build from here, I'm beginning to think I am going to have problems soon since these pyros are giving me such a headache.

Any general tips are welcomed, I'm on adept difficulty and changing that to lower is not something I'm up for doing, dark souls re educated me on that score!

Thanks

up your block then get a shield that defends against magic.
problem solved :)

or up restoration and get a steadfast ward or better ward (if there is one) and use that.

either way, only thing you can do now is get something that blocks fire and then assault with sword :/

Yeah I thought that was the case but didn't want to gimp myself by going down the shield tree then I have 6 areas I'm building I thought it is not good to balance that much?

Thanks mate

You could get the Lord sign. It gives you 25% resist magic and a 50 AR boost. The resist isn't the total answer but it is a noticeable improvement and it's easy to get.

I enchanted my armour for protection against varioue magic like shock and fire. I actually use heavy armour with a cold enchanted sword in one hand and destruction in the other. Works for me
