Im only level six and im wandering if I should keep dual wielding swords and axes, or if I should start using a shield for extra protection

that′s the lovly thing with Skyrim, both are viable at any level, so it′s more up to you and your playstyle, I have a fellow who is lvl 25 and he has dual wielded since the start.

I'm not one to tell you how to play, or even qualified to give an answer as to which is better. However, I really, really, really like the shield tree. Shield bashes, shield charges, resistances to magic and arrows, etc. Also, I think it would require more micromanaging to maximize the damage potential of dual-wielding.

I think the game don't use all the potential that dual-wielding could have... that's a shame... it should have a Dual-Wielding tree !
