No one has given Crysis 2 a bad review

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 8:36 pm

I think its awesome to see the game being reviewed and getting an overall great experience. Yeah there are some issues sure especially on the PC side with DX11 which in time will be resolved but as a whole I think Crytek has achieved there goal to bring a great simplified experience to every gamer no matter what hardware they are using. Well Done Crytek. This is a better direction than the business decision made for Crysis 1. I like Crysis 1 game play alittle better than Crysis 2 but I love the simplified direction taken and again I think that from a PC stand point it looks like Crytek is disrespecting that community but I don't they are, they are just trying to get the most out of there product first from a business standpoint. I believe they are going to focus on the PC community as months go by. For what happened to Crysis 1 this is great direction to take for minimizing profit loss and I think overall Crysis 2 is a much better game from a single player stand point than Crysis 1. Crysis 1 still has a great multiplayer experience as of right now.

He means that big titles never get bad reviews. It's not an indicator of quality.

not necessarily it means they can look past some small flaws at release time (that can be patched easy) and seen the game inside.

black ops had heaps of problems when it was first released but they got fixed now the game is fine with millions playing it.

pcgamer.com called it good and i trust them.............mp is derivative...I dont know how long would i enjoy that. and if they want to support pc community they better give us free content to justify 10 dollar increase in price otherwise its just a cash grab

Huh? where did my reply go?

Yes, I meant that big games with lots of hype are often glorified.

In fact, reviewers seem a lot more generous these days. I remember 9+ not being common.

Back in the first Crysis days, the standards were different. There's no way in hell it would get that score today. I think that should be considered here. By todays standards, Crysis would get 80 at best. So this IS a significant step up.

it had to get less score then crysis1, and it did

the grafix is not as good, the price is higher, they put way less effort in to the multilayer BUT they got lucky it actually ended up decent... for now except that the MP game play is better , crysis2 is in every category behind crysis1

still a great game, but does not deserve the score what crysis1 was getting... and most review site reflecting exactly that

this is just a great game
crysis1 was a master piece

Ehm.... If they released the game with configuration options appropriate for current gen tech and improved upon some of their texture work (foliage), which modders already did for them, I'm pretty sure "todays standards" would'nt have a thing on the game.

Have you ever played and especially "modded" Crysis? Are you aware that the largest part of "modding" Crysis is in fact a matter of manually configuring the game opposed to the ingame settings that (wisely) are'nt geared towards 2011 hardware.

The graphics are definitely better. They aren′t the same kind of step up as Crysis 1, but they are definitely better. And also lol at `getting lucky` with the multiplayer component, wth does that mean?

Graphics aren't good? ****. The price is higher? The same as Crysis was when it came out. Put less effort into multiplayer? COMPLETE ****. Ended up with a decent game? No, they went out of their way to make a good game and ended up with a GREAT game.

Crysis 2 is, actually, better than Crysis 1 in every category.

So, why don't you go troll on another forum and go back to playing the first Crysis. OK? Alright.

you have to see this from the developer side, in crysis 1 they came up with a new amazingly complex multiplayer mode, it did not work out, but i have respect for developers who try something new, its sad it was not as much fun as they and me was hoping for, it was so far i know the most complex multiplayer mode EVER made, it tuke balls, vision and lots and lost of work to do that

this game is just like any other multiplayer, 2 teems shoot each other till 1 wins... besides the nano suit its really a no brainier, i actually expected the multiplayer to be as terrible them most other team deathmatch type games, i'm very very surprised how much fun it is because the suit and the permanent unlock system

sure they will be other modes, but they they all just the same like any other game, nothing really revolutionary like it was in crysis1 (not crysis wars that was just really dull in my opinion, as you can tell i cant stand team deathmatch type MP, to dull)

The graphics from a technical stand point is better in Crysis 1 I believe but Crysis 2 has a much better art direction. Artists not programmers really put there input in crysis 2 and it shows. Just the differences in 3d models like prophet you can tell a different art direction was taken with Crysis 2. Global illumination I think looks better in crysis 1 but Crysis 1 was holding its own from a graphical stand point not an art stand point. Sometimes people think games look better because of the art not the graphics. This is why you here ridiculous comments about KillZone looks better than Crysis. Because people really are not educated on what it takes to make groundbreaking graphics with a great art director to enhance the engine like Cry engine 3. I feel that Crysis2 has both great graphics and great art for everyone to enjoy but it will not push a high end PC and thats fine I dont need it to.

He's implying Cryis get's the same treatment (I call it the Halo treatment..just my word for it) as the CoD series, which I highly doubt. Point being no matter how **** the games are (CoD series, personally not a fan) they still get high scores.

ROFL! Of course they're giving it a good review! They've been paid to! Now, look at the reviews of actual buyers. A lot different. A lot of people are wanting their money back.

Please ignore this idiot "siiix". He's illiterate and can barely complete a sentence. His statement that "multi-player has less effort" is one of the BIGGEST JOKE STATEMENTS I HAVE EVER HEARD ABOUT THIS GAME. Crysis Wars was TERRIBLE AND HAD BARELY ANY CONTENT. Crysis 2 is a FULL MULTI-PLAYER PACKAGE YOU DAMN IDIOT. It has FULL AMOUNT OF UNLOCKS, PERKS, XP, LEVELS, MORE MODES, DEDICATED SERVERS, MANY MORE WEAPONS, ATTACHMENTS, EQUIPMENT AND MUCH MORE CONTENT. You ignorant retard. I hope people like you who spread false information rot in hell.
