One of a kind boots?

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 2:30 am

So after becomming Arch Mage and getting the robes that go with it, I went to check out the Arch Mage Quarters and found those white boots that have a 40% resistance to shock.

I want to enchant boots JUST like them because my enchanting is 100 and I can make those boots way better. Problem is I cannot find those boots anywhere. I checked the Radient Rainment or whatever it's called in Skyrim and those cranky High Elfs didn't even have them.

So is that style one of a kind?

Hmm, I don't recall what the boots look like. I always felt Thalmor boots and gloves went with the archmage outfit better.

I'm assuming the boots you found are not able to be unenchanted ? Some armor and weapons are named , and unenchantable . There are boots like that floating around though , I was able to make a pair . You just have to keep checking shops or hope they turn up in dungeon loot .

I'm sure I saw some un-enchated boots like that in the Archmage quarters, on the shelves somewhere. I know that, because I was looking for a pair like that to enchant and give to my mage follower, Mercurio, Jerk wouldn't wear them though hahahahaha

Skyrim should have some kind of mail order catalog that the characters could use so that they could adventure in style!

I'm pretty sure they are just fur boots with an enchantment.

I thought shock resist could go on any type of boots, just in order to get 40% you would have to have the enchantment skill to do so. I have shock resist on my elven boots for my archer just not that high with my enchanting skill.

There's an alcove in the Shriekwind Bastion dungeon (north of Falkreath IIRC) that has a bunch of boots in it, including kind of obscure ones like Fur-Lined Boots and Pleated Shoes. You could try there. Also, Movarth's Lair near Morthal.

Even YOU can look pretty, with a little bit of help from your not so friendly neighborhood store.

Yes, Morvarth's lair has a ton of boots. I think they had a boot fetish! LOL
