One last RP

Post » Tue Sep 10, 2013 10:33 pm

I've had hundreds of characters in Oblivion. I've explored every nook, cranny, and location there is to explore. I've done ALL the quests. Done all the character builds I can think of. Archer, warrior, berserker, thief, Mage, conjurer, paladin, assassin, and even a shopkeeper. I've played all the races and I've completely exhausted that game of everything it can give me.... But I'm not satisfied. I need more. I want to play so bad but every time I get in character creation I just remember everything and end up switching to a different game. That's why I waited and didn't play for a year or even look at anything oblivion related until now. I need you guys to give me the most hardcoe of role plays I can possibly get. I want everything about a character build. Favorite skills, attributes, favorite foods, hobbies, allergies, addictions, everything. I can't think of anything else on my own here. This is probably my last Oblivion playthrough until I get a good gaming computer that will allow me to install mods. I want all the suggestions. And if I want to mix up different suggestions from people posts I will. Just help me out here guys and I will be eternally grateful.

I also like to listen to other YouTubers or Podcasts while I play. It makes the experience better for me. I really like listening to Jingles1215. If anyone has anybody that they like to listen to while playing then post em here. Maybe I'll find something fresh and new.

Considering your skill level at Oblivion, this should be no problem.

An Altmer Apprentice with magic specialization and all magic skills as Majors. The character is a member of "The Old Ones" who believe that if it isn't magic, it's crap!

Play max difficulty all the way through with no cheats.

Keep Your Character Alive (I prefer this title to Dead is Dead), i.e. no reloads if your character dies.

Last but not least, carry no possessions at all other than a set of unenchanted clothes for RP.

(Quest items that remain in your inventory are okay, just don't use them. You may make potions for sale to improve Alchemy, you just can't use them yourself. You may borrow appartus in guilds or NPC locations to make the potions, then immediately return the apparatus.)

I did an experiment with a character like this and it seems doable...if you are as good as you say. Good luck!

Conjuration and Illusion easily overrule the difficulty slider. :)

One of the hardest parts of this challenge will be getting through the Tutorial Dungeon, because you have only the starting Flare spell to work with as a weapon.

Build a true Madman.

- boots, no pants, maybe a shirt if you're chilly, and a basic hat.

- no enchanted gear of any kind

- weapon must be very basic or none at all (club?)

be completely random in everything you do, with no care for consequences.

Worship Sheogorath.

That sounds exactly like my WabbaJill character, except that she does carry a weapon (the Goblin Totem from the tutorial dungeon, and it's basically useless, since it's long since discharged.)

You make a good point, though. The attitude of the character can drive the "story," and sometimes the best fun comes out of that.

I've made many mages, because way back when I only played warrior types. My last few characters have been mages so maybe ill do something like that. But I really feel like stabbing as BigDaddy asked. Maybe a mix of the two but spells words are common and uninteresting.

I already worship Sheogorath. In game and IRL.
