One major gripe about this game!

So this has been a gripe that I have had with Bethesda games ever since Oblivion.

I love the fact that at some point in the game you are able to buy a house, and it's great that you can upgrade it over time. I love that mechanic.

However, in Morrowind, there were no havok physics, which meant that displaying your items, or, re-arranging your house the way you wanted was incredibly easy.

Now, with the physics in Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout NV, and Skyrim, simply putting that butterfly in a jar on a shelf is next to impossible!

Next game you guys do, I really would suggesting turning OFF the physics when inside of your house or something. Not only is it hard to put items where you want them, but bumping into them is also a pain.

Is there a mod that will help me out with my problem?

I second this. I like the looks of my houses on all 4 of these games, and have been frustrated about how they gradually end up getting messy.

What I would suggest is that your housecarl/buttler/wife should have an option to restore the house (not the contents of chests e.c.t, however) to how it used to be, and any other items you put in display would stay where they are, or go into a specified chest or storage item for you to put back, and it should be available once a week or so.

This would be a nice feature, but there are so many other things they have to get out of the way first. Maybe they will have to leave it untill, as you said, the next game they come out with.

Yeah, Lydia likes to move my stuff, from the shelf... to the floor.

That woman is going to get a battleaxe to the skull one of these days. >.>
