One Piece Armor? Not Really.

Post » Thu Sep 29, 2011 10:19 pm

Ok, so...I like a lot of people kind of freaked out over the idea of a one-piece armor system. We all immediately jump to the worst and think, "Oh CRAP, no more combining different boots! No more wearing no more wearing Nordic fur gauntlets and glass greaves! Well, check out the END of this video from the Tokyo Game Show: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/tgs-11-elder-scrolls/720773

When he loots the bandits you can see different armor pieces.

What do you guys think? It looks to me like the only combined the cuirass and the greaves. If my theory is correct, they've left in everything else from the MORROWIND armor set.

I'm fine with that.

It's been known for a long time that only the cuirass and greaves have been combined...

I thought it was always the case that they were only going to combine the cuirass and the greaves? lol.

Um.. I think you had the wrong impression of combined armor pieces. We've known that the cuirass and greaves are combined and pauldrons MAY be able to be changed through smithing.

Never seen anyone think boots were included in that.

As far as I know the only one piece armor people are talking about is how greaves and chest piece are combined. Whether or not this applies to clothes we are unsure of.

Um, no one thought that. It's always been about greaves being merged with cuirass.

More unique and better looking armor and most importantly more NPC's on screen at once. Always wanted livelier cities. 'Nuff said.

Think everyone knew this already.

It was more of an issue of, in Morrowind we had left handed and right handed, and we had pauldrons. In Oblivion, pauldrons were cut and it was "gloves", not glove A and glove B.
Now, we have "armor" instead of chest plate and leggings.
Give us another TES and I'm sure we can get it down to "armor."

At least on this forum, there has never been any worry about one piece armor. But it shows how hearsay can turn a feather into five chickens.

you joined back in august, and you just now found out about this info?

you say alot of people were freaking out over one-piece armors... yet, i havent seen anyone going on about it, because we all already knew the truth.

so... this topic didnt really serve much purpose at this point in time, for two reasons.

1. we already knew how the armor worked.

2. like i said, i havent come across any topics for quite awhile now, of people freaking out about armor.

if there were any topics, there obviously werent enough to call for old information getting its own topic again, and im sure those people were set straight in their topics by people who knew about how the armor works.

but what if I want to wear overalls, goggles, and a bandanna and be a marksman with specialty ammo? Or a master of the 3 sword style.

Damn now I want a one piece mod for skyrim, changing the world into a archipelago and adding boats.

This thread makes me . Nobody has thought that there was one piece armor for like three months now(if not more). People have been upset over the merging of cuirasses and greaves.

Um, welcome to like 6 months ago when this was confirmed? This isn't new information. You were the only one in the dark about this.

What we know so far:

There are different head pieces, gloves, boots, and cuirass. The cuirass, however, can be customized through blacksmithing to change the way it looks, and there are different variants of the cuirass's, some including different shoulders, some including no cuirass at all, and just a fur skirt, etc.

It's not one piece of armor.
