One Poll to rule them all!

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 5:20 am

If you haven't tried all the options pick the last answer!!!

Many people have missed all the past games, so MW vs OB is 1st on the list...

Edit: Feel free to vote for TES 2,3 or 4 even if you haven't tried Arena! It has only 6 votes of 903...

So...What's the point of this poll? You can't accept the fact that people who like Oblivion prefer Obliivion, people who like Morrowind prefer Morrowind, and people who like Daggerfall prefer Daggerfall?

You've now got the opposite problem. Here in the Past Games forum Daggerfall invariably wins by a mile.

Logical, huh?

Yes very logical.

I am on your side this time.

Because most Oblivion players are on the oblivion forums.

And most Morrowind players are on the morrowind forums.

So whichever forums you ask on the they'll have the advantage.

I agree.

between 3 and 4, oblivion wins. morrowind had a cooler setting and a few things that made it really endearing, but oblivion's gameplay was such a major improvement on it.
of all 4, daggerfall. arena was okay, but i never really played it much. daggerfall has the most awesome character creation ever. granted, i still can't get it to run very well, even on my win98 partition, but it wins just for the character creation and skills.

It may win. But not big. Many more on this forum has played Morrowind but not Daggerfall. Than people who played both.

Goodnesssake, I hate Polls like this.

I like Oblivion and MW equally, but for different reasons.
(i.e., I like MW's buying and selling much more, it is easier to make money, and it's easier to break the law :P, but Oblivion have better faces, full speech and horses, etc.)

Haven't played any of the travels.
Daggerfall is, IMO, better than Arena, and certainly larger.
I wouldn't compare DF to OB or MW because it just wouldn't be right.

Carpmalenko, think it like this: If you had to spend a year in isolation, with ONE of the games above, and hardware just perfect for that game, which would you choose?

If the choses were:
MW or OB?

TES 1,2,3, or 4?

BS or RG?

You can hate the poll all you want, I kinda hate these too ;)
But I introduced the option 'haven't tried all the options so I can't have an opinion'.
I cut the option 'They're equal'. You have to choose!
'They all have their advantages' would be the only right option, so I cut it too ;)

I prefer Morrowind, and the other two options are N/A for me, though I would love to get my hands on a copy of Daggerfall.

To me, while many thing in Oblivion were improved-upon concepts from Morrowind, the gameplay and more dynamic nature of Morrowind still makes it more entertaining for me to play, replay, replay... I haven't even beaten the Oblivion main quest, and yet I've already started a new Morrowind character since I got Oblivion.

I'll be honest. I have studied and looked at all the games, but the only one I have actually ever played is Morrowind, so I am not in a position to tell you which game was/is the best.

I might as well tell my own opinion now:
Oblivion
Daggerfall
Battlespire

TES3 has a good lead on TES4, and I understand that completely. Still if I had to choose one I'd take TES4. Must be because I haven't played TES3 in a while, and have missed many great mods like the infinite view distance... And I just love the looks of TES4 and the combination of combat and good physics. I want to see my foes go down in style. Pierced by an arrow.
TES3 is more faithful to the lore, has much more depth, skills and roleplaying opportunities, but still I consider it somewhat stale. Even boring. I just don't like Vvardenfell that much...

TES2 stays the jewel of the series, no question about that.

BS tops RG because it has more eerie feeling, good dialog, skillsets and other RP elements. I never got into Cyrus' head, and the island Stros M'kai seemed odd somehow. It's been a long time since I played it, and I will go it through again. I just don't like pirates that much. Or Tomb Raider.

Maybe I shouldn't have put TES1 in, because it won't get too many votes anyway.
Feel free to vote for other ones even if you missed Arena entirelly!
