I have made OP characters but the reason why I said 500 cap is because too many people moan about being OP. recently I made an insta kill character but I didnt complain.

I made my second character that I'm playing now pretty OP - but did it knowingly. I had been warned that with smithing and enchanting, you could really make things too easy for you, so I simply didn't do either in my first playthrough - now I kinda wanted to see it for myself.

My sword and board Orc plows through everything with little resistance now. And I'm not even using the berzerker rage anymore. Kinda fun, for a while, but methinks that for my next playthrough, I'll not take any smithing or enchanting perks, and just wear/wield things I find or buy.

Or, you know, they just came off Oblivion and realized the power up to armor is more a necessity since enemies scaled with them?

No, let's just throw out strawmen for the sake of pretending Skyrim is perfect.

I don't disagree with you, mind you, it's just that for most first time players, they experience this OP sensation until they can learn about the game.

Many people restarted their first game, myself included, because of this little... uh... "feature".

The same people who complain about the battle being bugged in Dragonborn.

When you use crafting skills to it's fullest, you will become OP regardless of difficulty. Is it a problem/issue, no because you can choose to go down that route.
