One texture as the default texture for a new landmass?

Hello all, I seek some help. Thanks for your time.

I'm creating a new tropical island.

I would like to know if it's possible to designate one texture for the entire area, not just a particular grid.

Right now, I replace the default land texture that every grid has in it with my sand texture.

Is there a faster way to have my sand texture be the default without replacing every single default land texture in each grid?

Also, I would like the sand to show footprints from the footprints mod. Does that deal with the material of a texture? like in the texture set?

I look forward to any suggestions or tips.

Send jonwd7 a pm. I believe hes going to add support for more textures, so you can speak to him about it and perhaps you guys can sort something out for him to detect :)

Open the region editor ( World > Regions )

and follow this post to create a border region for your worldspace -

http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1378248-worldspace-lod-error-help-needed/#entry11672801

When that's done, create another region and call it Sand (or whatever you want ) Set any colour you want to mark your region

and don't tick Border Region.

Map out the new region area as described in the post, but leave a 1 cell space all around the border.

Select the Objects tab and tick Enable this type of data.

Drag your texture from the Objects Window and place it into the top box of Generated Objects. Set the Density to 100.

Click Generate Now
