One of the Best games i played ! Thanks Bethesda

Post » Thu Sep 17, 2009 10:00 pm

Hello. I have recently bought Fallout New Vegas from steam to try something new since i had never played any fallout series, and i have to say i am impressed with it. There was some minor bugs here and there but over all game content is so vast. I am very satisfied, i think it was The best 50 bucks i have spend on the game, 200 hours of game play not including DLC, and still alternatives given to replay the whole game. definitely planning, no not planning Going to get fallout 3 game of the year edition.
Yes im so pleased that i had to write this on forums. Thank you Bethesda softworks, Plz do not stop what you doing and do not sell out to EA :).

Glad you like it, and be sure to give the other Fallout games a try, except for Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel (not to be confused with Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel). Avoid it like the plague. That aside, this a trully astounding series that really breaks the mold.

A quick note: Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 were made by the now sadly dead Black Isle Studios. Fallout Tactics was made by Micro Forte. Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel was made by Interplay. Fallout 3 was made by Bethesda. Fallout: New Vegas was made by Obsidian, which is largely comprised by remnants of Black Isle Studios. I personally prefer Fallout 1 and 2 over the others, but I like Fallout: New Vegas. I won't give my personal opinions on Fallout 3. I think everyone can agree with me that Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel was an ungodly abomination.

Also, Fallout 1 and 2 were isometric turn-based compared to Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas follows the Bethesdian formula. As I mentioned, I prefer the former, but I like Fallout: New Vegas.

By Black Isle Studios. Pretty much the exact people who made Fallout 1 made Fallout 2, aside from some small differences.

Well, Fallout 1 was made by the RPG department of Interplay that BECAME Black Isle by the time of Fallout 2.

But none of the key people behind Fallout 1 worked on Fallout 2.

If you liked Vegas just wait until Fallout 3, then New Vegas will just look to you as an over dramatic political game... Update this forum once you've played Fallout 3!

I don't think so, he'll probably think of it as a downgraded piece of old tech from a dead series because people that are fans of it are stuck in the past. >insidejoke<

Thank you for recommendation guys. I have talked to one of my coworkers who actually suggested to me to try out fallout New Vegas, she did noted that fallout 3 has same engine as New Vegas which is not really what concerns me, im just hoping for good story and amount of content. Ill be able to play it probably week after, right now im working on all achievements on New Vegas and Dead Money :).

I had to take me copy out to the back yard for a "chat." I buried the body in the old indian burial ground.

If the story matters to him, I don't think he'll enjoy Fallout 3.

Obsidian made New Vegas and in my opinion just don't even worry about playing fallout 3 it just stole everything from fallout 1 and 2

You seem like a fine dude, play the originals, not as "action" oriented, but still very exciting and immersive, very addictive, compelling story and lots of awesome guns.

(People, people, please! Let him form his own opinion. He is trying New Vegas, and that is good. If he wishes to try Fallout 3, let him, do not taint his opinion of it with flame wars, that is not a fair perspective for him. He should form his own opinion of all the Games, Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, and Fallout Tactics.* (*Burned game not included) Now let's go back to being polite here, and not getting into another NV Vs. FO3 war.)

I took it to a gun range and taped it at a target 200yds. I then introduced it to Mr. Springfield.

ok just finished all new Vegas achievements :),
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197971293271/stats/Fallout:NewVegas

explored all map, all secret weapons and armor, time for Dead Money :). super exited ! The only thing i could not complete is loyalty with Raul, i know his quest (old school ghoul) activates after visiting Ranger Andy, Corporal Sterling and Loyal, but unfortunately Loyal is bugged or something, he is not in the hangar or his home, i spend hours looking for him all over the Nellis Air Force Base. Also im kinda disapointed that Arcade Gannon had to leave me for good after completting "For Auld Land Syne" to fight with his members to help NCR defend Hoover Dam, i hope to see him there, which i wont since if i complete game i cant continue to explore.

You can always continue from an earlier save after completing the game.

This.

Seriously guys, can't a single thread start without the same old BS. By now ANYONE who looks at these forums know that you guys don't like FO3, don't like the new style, don't like Bethesda.

Doesn't it ever get tiring carrying your dead horse around so you can flog it whenever you stop to read something?

(Judging by the proof I have seen, I would say the comment may or may not have been a slight, i do not see it as such, i see it as having been taken more out of context Shdow, but i will give you the benefit of the doubt. Rusina is right, you guys did not start it, but you sure as heck did not help it get better with the little inside joke. Now all jokes and slights aside please remember what i said about forming own opinions, and let bygones be bygones.)
