One of the biggest things I hope Bethesda doesn't do.

I hope that if this is indeed the Lyon's Brotherhood, then Liberty Prime is still destroyed. They try to fix the insanely expensive pre war project using sensor modules, and cameras. I will be very upset. if towards the end of the game, if there is a final assualt on the Institute, right before you and your friends are destroyed by some super powerful weapon created by the Institute, all of a sudden Liberty Prime comes out of the shadows and destroys it, and helps you finish the fight.

I doubt that would happen. Imagine the irony if that does happen though?

Lyons won't be showing up with Liberty Prime.

However, I hear the Minutemen are working on their own creation, dubbed Liberty Bell Prime.

(Also, anyone willing to explain to me how to quote someone else? I click quote under the person's post but I always just end up replying generically...)

They must have moved it in the Fallout universe, else my joke wouldn't be funny.

The quote button works fine for me. Perhaps try a different browser?

They were not trying to fix the robot with cameras and sensor modules, they only needed those for specific parts, not the whole thing.

I really wish this meme would die.

...Now I'm sitting there thinking, things go balls, then suddenly Liberty Prime arrives.

"Liberty has been revived! And stands eternal!"

Enter...Liberty Omega.

"One of the biggest things I hope Bethesda doesn't do."

^ I was expecting to read something along the lines of "turn Fallout into an MMO..."

Prime was awesome and an excellent gaff. As far as final battles go this time I think it will be a bit more vertibirdish in nature. Either pirating the airship(s) we see cruising around or helldiving onto a target with a herd of goons in tow.

I must be one of the few people in this fandom that didn't have a problem with Liberty Prime.

I know some didn't, but I also just don't understand why so many people disliked LP.

He was activated and I was all "Hah hah hah, giant Jingoist Robot..."

I mean, what was he other than a giant, bipedal version of a Mr. Gutsy? Both had that extreme patriotic soldier persona to them.

It makes sense really if he comes back. Liberty Prime is a parody of Optimus Prime who always dies in every series ever, and always come back. Maybe they'll paint him red and blue.

do not worry, Emil will find a way to adequately replace Prime. I predict that ship with turbine flying through the sky on the final mission.

most people probably didn't mind, but remember that you're on the bethforums... the place where every complaint about every little thing ends up and gets amplified

it's like that nasty, moldy water-spot in an otherwise nice, clean building XD

I was fine with prime himself, i though he was a funny nod to retoro 50s and the iron giant and etc., i just didn't like how his kickassness left you with pretty much nothing to do but walk behind him for 10 minutes as he roflstompped all the enclave soldiers

Prime was Beth's excuse for a single squad of BoS (in the least effective Power Armor) defeating an entire army of Enclave soldiers + Vertibirds...utter lunacy

Id be content if he didnt return, but if it is Lyon's BoS Chapter then perhaps they kept Prime's head to stick onto the front of the Airship and keep spouting the hilarious propaganda

This!
That was disney level chit, it was so unoriginal and typical of Bethesda, a huge robot (that you fixed with sensor modules, fission batteries, and cameras) that helps you win the big fight and kill bad guys, such a bad effin clich?

I still don't know how a jury-rigged, makeshift robot was able to defeat an entire army of soldiers with advanced power armor, plasma & laser weapons, vertibirds and an advanced military strategy?! :wallbash:

Where did you get the idea Prime was jury rigged or makeshift?

It was the finest pre-war tech money could buy.
