"One of the file xxxx.esp is dependent on ... " Erro

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 4:10 am

Hi all, I'm new here.

This this (almost) the first time I play Morrowind (+Bloodmoon + Tribunal)

I have added these mods to the game:
GameFile0=Better Heads Bloodmoon addon.esm
GameFile1=Better Heads Tribunal addon.esm
GameFile2=Better Heads.esm
GameFile3=Bloodmoon.esm
GameFile4=Morrowind Patch v1.6.5-BETA.esm
GameFile5=Morrowind.esm
GameFile6=Tribunal.esm
GameFile7=abotWhereAreAllBirdsGoing.esp
GameFile8=Authentic Signs IT 1.1.esp
GameFile9=Better Bodies.esp
GameFile10=BetterClothesForTB.esp
GameFile11=Book Jackets - Bloodmoon.esp
GameFile12=Book Jackets - Morrowind.esp
GameFile13=Book Jackets - Tribunal.esp
GameFile14=Fire_Hurt_All.esp
GameFile15=Fire_Hurt_bloodmoon.esp
GameFile16=Fire_Hurt_morrowind.esp
GameFile17=Fire_Hurt_Tribunal.esp
GameFile18=Levelling.esp
GameFile19=RealSignposts.esp
GameFile20=Wilderness Sounds Bloodmoon.esp
GameFile21=Wilderness Sounds T & B.esp
GameFile22=Wilderness Sounds Tribunal.esp
GameFile23=Wilderness Sounds.esp

But when I try to start the game it tells me:

One of the files that "Fire_Hurt_bloodmoon.esp" is dependent on has changed since the last save.
This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message
but not necessarily fix any errors.
One of the files that "Fire_Hurt_Tribunal.esp" is dependent on has changed since the last save.
This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message
but not necessarily fix any errors.
One of the files that "Fire_Hurt_All.esp" is dependent on has changed since the last save.
This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message
but not necessarily fix any errors.
One of the files that "BetterClothesForTB.esp" is dependent on has changed since the last save.
This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message
but not necessarily fix any errors.
One of the files that "RealSignposts.esp" is dependent on has changed since the last save.
This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message
but not necessarily fix any errors.
One or more plugins could not find the correct versions of the master files they depend on. Errors may occur during load or game play. Check the "Warnings.txt" file for more information.

How can I solve this problem?

Real Time Update: I have run TESTool and now it doesn't appear this warning yet. So I think this problem is solved. Or is there the chance TESTool causing problems?

p.s. sorry for my bad English

To Rohugh: I hadn't used this thread cause I thought they were two different issue.

Anyway: This is another question for you all:

Before I installed these mods I have installed Morrowind --- Bloodmoon --- Tribunal, making a critical error.
Then I installed those mods, runned the TESTOOL, and I experienced some errors (the "chunk size" ones).
So, reading on the net I became aware I would have installed Bloodmoon AFTER Tribual, so I re-installed Bloodmoon without uninstalling any mods.

Will it 'cause any problems?
Are any mods affected by the Bloodmonn reinstallating?

Thank you so much in advance and sorry for my english

Your best best it to start over and install the game in the proper sequence
(Morrowind -> Tribunal -> Bloodmoon). That will get rid of the "Chunk" error ;) .
Then reinstall your mods and you should be good to go (barring any actual
mod conflicts, that is :D ).

One of the files that "Fire_Hurt_bloodmoon.esp" is dependent on has changed since the last save.
This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message

This occurs because there were multiple versions of the Bloodmoon/Tribunal/Morrowind master (esm) files as they were altered by various patches. The game engine gives a warning when the esp was made with a different version of the master file. I have never known it cause any problems and both Wrye Mash and TES Tool contain functionality to remove the errors by updating the mod file so it looks like it was made with the current version(s) of the master files.

It may effect save games but otherwise it should be fine.

GameFile24=Wilderness Sounds.esp
Check the readme, you should only be using "Wilderness Sounds T & B.esp"
