SPOILERS PEOPLE

How can the Thalmor have won the great war if, The champion of Cyrodill has:

Battlehorn castle

thieves den

Mace of doom

Knights of the nine

AND HE'S A DEADRIC PRINCE (sheogorath to be precise)

Can't he/she just annihalate the entire Thalmor army?!

I don't think they did win the Great War. A truce was signed. And besides, the Great War ocurred nearly two hundred years after the Champion of Cyrodiil helped to avert the Oblivion crisis.

Maybe he went mad and went into realm and turned into the Sheogorath that we see in Skyrim.

Besides Daedric Princes have no power on Nirn, they act through followers. If the COC was in the Great War, he would've just been killed and re-emerged in the Shivering Isles.

Question. Why would Sheogorath care about saving the Empire?
