One thing I'm really excited for...

Post » Wed Sep 16, 2009 5:10 am

I just want to see how the game looks. Just it's graphics. I know it's dumb, but I want to see the improvements made over Oblivion.

What are you guys really exited for?

I would really like to see a HUGE VARIETY of books in the game. I'm sorry if I offended any illiterate players!

well, the machine it will be working on is the same, so the graphics cannot be IMPROVED too much, but they can be made more efficient.

I want to see if any of my suggestions got through. A bit selfish, yes, but over the past several years I've accumulated over 180 pages of organized suggestions of essay-length and detail over just about every gameplay factor. It would be kind of depressing for absolutely none of it to have gotten anywhere.

I'm more concerned with gameplay, it is a given that graphics will be better, seeing its a new engine.

No, they completely rebuilt the engine from the ground up, they have alot to work with.

I'm excited for more innovations personally. I want to see how the Radiant AI improves. I want to see how the graphics become more detailed and crisp. I want to see how the combat becomes more interactive and fast paced. I want to see how the overall world and art style differs from the previous TES games and what makes Skyrim the next TES.

I think he means that in the end it still needs to work on an Xbox 360.

But that doesn't say much, there have definitely been game releases for the consoles with more advanced graphics than Oblivion.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the world looks like. The cities, the people, the landscape variety. Skyrim.

I can't wait to see the direction they take the game in.

I'd like to see if they'd done any of the things that forum users have asked for and I'm really keen to see if they've 'borrowed' any ideas from modders

The graphics? Meh, I'm pretty sure it will look good and I think the way games are going now it will just be higher resolutions, more detail, more lighting effects, better animations. Can't say it excites me that much but I do enjoy nice graphics so I'm sure I'll be pleased.

I know we have no way of knowing if they'll be included or not, but I still say Werewolves, because a man can dream.

Maybe we can get some good animations for a change? Other than that I'm interested to see what the new engine looks like and what kind of game play improvements they have some up with.

In that case, we still have alot to work with. Look at say Call of Duty, Fable, or Final Fantasy to see what consoles are capable of, heck, they are even bringing Crysis to consoles (sadly), we still have alot to work with.

Consoles aren't capable of much more at this point. Crysis 2 on the Xbox 360 is not going to look anywhere near what it will look like on the PC.

The atmosphere of it all. I'd love to see what they do with Skyrim, the environment the flora, the fauna, the people, the cities and villages, especially ruins, caves and the like.

Decent physics (no floating around), new AI, dialogue without mixed and matched voices, animations at least on par with some games of this generation, and of course sick graphics!

I'm talking about the graphical jump from Oblivion to Skyrim. Oblivions graphics were ok, I'm comparing that to what Crysis looks like in the demos we have seen (which have been Xbox), so they have lots to work with, in terms of The Elder Scrolls, not games in general.
