Hmm it does look like the SM in FO3 but with a grayer texture. The clothing does make a difference though.

There is a screen shot of what are said to be Nightkin.

But its probably not finalized yet ~This mesh has problems.

Yes, that's the alpha build - which also was used for the trailer and E3 demos. http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100515101556/fallout/images/4/47/FNV_screenshot_NCR_vs_Mutant.jpg of Obsidian's Master's Muties.

He's better, but he's still not http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/8374/supermutantstz8.jpg :)
(or even http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj125/Gizmojunk/F3-harry-3da.jpg...)

But I guess we can't have everything we'd want. Still the Nightkin looks okay to me.

The meaning of the word prototype eludes you? Kidding, kidding. ^_^
This is supposed to be a rough draft of what they plan, so I'll look forward to the final muties.

That is good news, and I look forward to the final models as well.

Mm, in that case, yeah, I'm psyched up for the Muties.

I was pissed with FO3's cheap mutie excuse. 'IT WAS A VAWLT TECH EXPERIMENT. AND THEY'RE YELLOW. AND THERES NO FEV TO BE FOUND ANYWHERE. SOZ BRO.'
Enclave was meh-ly implemented, in my opinion. I mean, there was very little explanation for their apparent full-strength revival after their leadership and scientists were almost entirely destroyed back on the West coast.

Agreed on both. Though I have to say that I found the Enclave not nearly as weird as some relocated FEV program. They did not appear in such a large number as was implied to have existed on the oil rig.

I like the reintroduction of character traits as it adds to role playing.

I dislike the animations although the rest of the graphics still look great.

Animations look to me like they're getting a rebirth. A wider variety, fluidity, just look at those dancers in that one 15 min long thing. They change very, very fluidly between animations. Also, I really hope to see stuff like that at random; more, 'you've stumbled across some cool thing happening', not neccesarily random-encounter scale, but little things that can happen spontaneously, you might see it, you might not. Flavor things, you know?

It's an RPG, son. At high levels, if you ain't punching all the blood out of their bodies with one hit, you ain't doin' it right.

You still get skill points every level you know.
It's just that you get perks every other level instead.

Ugh... Even though it's an RPG, we shouldn't be that overpowered at lvl 30 if we're playing on Very Hard.
I can accept overpowering on Normal if you do your character right and have the right equipment, but for Very Hard, no.
And sadly, in todays RPG what you say is true, always end up like that.

Sorry to break it to you, but other RPGs do achieve balance and not break their own system if you use it with some brains. You don't have any challenge in Capital DC once you're above level 20, the HP sink enemies are more of an annoyance than a challenge. The only mildly challenging thing left then is Point Lookout.

i disagree, if a person had made it through the amount of pain, unrealism and suffering that 30 lvls of fallout create. Then that would in fact make the character a very strong person mentally and physically. In real life the player would in fact be overpowered.

Why does everyone think that there will be another Broken Steel-like DLC? The only reason that they made it was because people complained about the ending being crap.....

Silly rabbit...
DLCs are planned way in advance of the release, even at the time the game idea is conceived.

It matters for those who play on consoles and don't have a PC that can run the minimum requirements for NV...

I take it he's talking about the xbox 360......well he now has the option to change that with the NEW and Improved xbox 360! :disguise:

And to keep on topic,

I like the down and dirty feel of Las Vegas in a post apocalyptic setting.

I dislike that the game ends when your finished the main quest. (RPG's shouldnt end damit!!!!!!)

You do know that there's a reason for a difficulty system right?

Easy is meant for those that incredibly new to the game or gaming what so ever.
Normal is for people who know how to play games but just wanna chill and not die alot.
Hard is for people who want the bigger challenge
And anything above that is meant for those that really want a bigger challenge, it's for the people that are extremely skilled at the game.

I don't care if it's an RPG game with leveling and crap.
Very hard is suppose to be VERY [censored] HARD.
Something they failed with in fallout 3.
You wanna be overpowered, then go play normal difficulty, us who want a challenge and have some kinda balance can stick to the higher difficulties.

I'm not saying whether I think NV should or shouldn't end, but this idea that RPGs shouldn't ever end is ridiculous. The vast majority of them do...I'm wondering if the folks that are saying they should never end have played any RPGs besides Oblivion and Fallout 3...

... on the other hand, if you think about it, if what you want is constant "challenge", why have a leveling system at all?
