Dislikes: Iron sights.

Why do you not like iron sights?

I like fallout in general, so liking everything about this game comes natural.
I dislike the fact that I will probably lose several months of my social life when I buy this game.

Not just see [howitzers]... USE! (though the Fatman kind of makes it pointless :( )

~I was going to stay out of this one, but since I've Quoted a reply...
@Topic:
Like: Confirmed GECK :celebration:
Dislike:Same as Styles... ( as far as we know ;) )
I would like to see a few of the many original robots scattered around the West coast, still be there, and some functional. Its not hard to make them ~http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUslVGxW_WE, but I'd rather it be official.

I forgot to include using them :D. The Fatman is good but it can't shoot for miles. I would love to be at an NCR base and get to control a Howitzer to support NCR troops on a far off battlefield.

I would also like to be in a base under attack and have to defend it for days. A quest Idea I had ==> http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1073589-quest-ideas/page__view__findpost__p__16022081.

Great Original http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Mister_Handy :)

Sorry for going off topic.

Like: hardcoe mode, oh this sounds so awesome.

Dislike: That it will just 'end' after the main quest is completed.

Totally agree. hardcoe sounds so...hardcoe is really the best word :P

Like: Being able to mod your weapons and add scopes, silencers etc.

Dislike: (although I understand that they are using the same engine) The same old crappy animations, like in the gameplay trailer where you see the character throw a grenade. Looked pathetic.

..And I have to say it. The fact that the game ends. Total turnoff.

I like that they took Fallout 3 and made it better. Y'know, take a proven formula and improve upon it. Sorta like taking lo mein noodles and adding shrimp.

I don't like the fact that there will be a definate ending. Makes me think that they're pulling a Broken Steel.

Why does everyone think that there will be another Broken Steel-like DLC? The only reason that they made it was because people complained about the ending being crap.....

I'm liking everything I've seen so far

I dislike not having enough info about Mr. House(I know they don't want to ruin the story. I just want to know more about the guy.)

Because we don't really need it.

Why not? I think we definitely need it. I think the combat in Fallout 3 itself was one of the weaker elements of FO3 gameplay to be honest, and don't you think that iron sights make the game feel so much more real, and the combat more deep and satisfying?
One thing we DONT need is the silly little crosshair that we saw in some of those gameplay/interview vids while the person was looking down them. We don't still need the bloody crosshair when you've got iron sights to look down, do we?

...but it doesn't end until you want it to, so is it really a big deal?

As for the topic...

Like: pretty much all of the changes from Fallout 3 I've heard about so far...except that I'm reserving judgment on the removal of Big Guns until I play the game.

Dislike: we likely won't see all of the improvements I'd like to have seen...like damage types, making PER more important for shooting, etc.

Agreeing with this.

Though the notion of big guns skill doesn't bother me all that much. I'm more worried about how the skills affect gunuse in general (damage vs accuracy + general handling issue).

Why? There was no reason to even have the skill if you were only going to have about 5 big guns.

I like that it looks and feels good at the moment.

I dislike that feeling I am going to get when after a bit I start thinking "hang on this bit should have been better" usally directed at role play and story content.

Not the best of news there can be, no. I think the reasoning was to remove a skill that is basically useless for a half of the game and to save some effort to make early investments in it worthwhile by inventing "low level" big guns. Or something.

Well I'd prefer if they had introduced more big guns, and which can be used earlier on. Plus I've always used big guns, from FO1-FO3!

Well I think that was another point of them separating it. So you can use Big Gun earlier.

I like the SPECIAL and skill changes, complete with traits and perk rate.
I don't like people's heads still ripping off.

On the positive side they're bringing back STR requirements for weapons, so you'll have to have the appropriate weapon skill plus put a good number of points into STR in order to use the large weapons well.
