Online Play Issue

Post » Tue Aug 18, 2009 1:16 am

Since the PSN came on, I decided to spend some time online.

The matches will start out fine (completely lag-free), but after about 5 minutes in I'll start getting a slide-show style
lag fest of rubber banding until I get disconnected. I'll look at my team's connection, and they'll all have green connections
whereas my own is only suddenly red.

I thought it might have to do with my PS3 getting stuck in NAT-3 and being unable to get
to NAT-2 despite trying DMZ, port range forwarding, port triggering, and QoS adjustments.
However, I've never had a problem with online multiplayer short of the original Little Big Planet at times.

I just wondered if anyone else was experiencing this issue. I wondered if it might be PSN
restoration related (unlikely), or if it's just me (more likely).

I just played through the entire Resistance campaign online with a few randoms and didn't have any lag issues the whole day! #feelinglucky
