Is it going to be included? Does anyone want it?

It is bad idea: will be a loss of quality or loss of the frame per second
(-50% to -60%). But it can will made for the sake of experiment.

PS 3 and Xbox360 presently have already conceded to a computer. PC UP to 200 or 250 % of speed up than consoles.

i dont think anyone can answer that:
on one hand this is crytek's first console game and (crysis fans ignore this next part of the sentence) the first time they take a multiplayer component seriously^^
but on the other the multiplayer is made by the people responsible for timesplitters (?) and that always had splitscreen so maybe those people already have enough experience and implementing splitscreen wont be much of an issue - in that case crytek probably wouldnt say no.

the biggest multiplayer games out there, HALO franchise and COD franchise, have splitscreen. question is, do crytek want to compete with those?

What? When did Crytek employ some other companies' personnel to make the MULTIPLAYER to their game? I don't think they have those "timesplitters" guys making it.

Splitscreens are a dying breed in video games. Today, it's all about playing with your friends over the "interwebz."

I dont think there will be a splitscreen mod, but i hope that there will be a online Coop-Mod, so that you can play the campaign together.

I doubt it, because Crysis 2 is already a hell of a demanding game and splitscreen makes the engine render everything twice.

If they could pull it off and it still ran at its best, would be sick. As long as it didn't affect gameplay significantly I don't think anyone would complain if it was there.

Likely won't be though.
