i dont think anyone can answer that:
on one hand this is crytek's first console game and (crysis fans ignore this next part of the sentence) the first time they take a multiplayer component seriously^^
but on the other the multiplayer is made by the people responsible for timesplitters (?) and that always had splitscreen so maybe those people already have enough experience and implementing splitscreen wont be much of an issue - in that case crytek probably wouldnt say no.
the biggest multiplayer games out there, HALO franchise and COD franchise, have splitscreen. question is, do crytek want to compete with those?
