I only appreciated how good this game is after Skyrim came o

Save your money. It's not worth it.
I believe money can be better spent on other games for sure, but I (and maybe The Lobotomite) just want to see what it's like for myself and can compare all the talk I hear about it with my own experiences playing it.

It's interesting playing FNV after Skyrim, because many things I felt they got rid of or got wrong in Skyrim are present in New Vegas. I am thoroughly enjoying FNV, coming back to it. It's not all one way traffic, there are things Skyrim does better, the game world is incredible, and I found combat to be fun. It's just a very shallow game when it comes to RPG elements and well written quests with choice and consequence.

Or you could save your money for Elder Scrolls Online http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2012/05/03/june-cover-revealed-the-elder-scrolls-online.aspx

I would enjoy FNV if it wasn't such a glitchfest for the PS3 version. I'm forced to sell it and Fallout 3 too. I'm thinking of rebuying them for PC later, once I get a better video card.

Skyrim for me is purely to mess around on. Just exploiting and trying to have as much simple fun as possible. New Vegas is probably the only game I have 1000+ saves and an absoloutly astonishing amount of hours played on.
I hope Bethesda doesn't skyrim the next Fallout and just give it to obsidian again (and give them time for big fixes and content)

Didn't Todd once respond to the proposition of a TES MMO with "over my dead body?"

Yea, but the thing is, it's not made by Bethesda, but Zenimax... (that's what people like to argue on the new TES:O forums lol) but if you look a their website, they are all pretty much the same company. So, don't tell me that it's not Beth and don't hate Todd, when in fact he sold out!

Yeah...

TBH, even if I ignore Skyrim (not that storyline really matters for an MMO anyways), a TES MMO does sound pretty bad simply because they've NEVER balanced their games. A good MMO needs balance; I mean if they made Skyrim an MMO it'd be horribly imbalanced, with mages never standing a chance.

I've always preferred dismembering Super Mutants with a Gatling laser over hacking a trolls with shiny + 5 swords.

FO was the first PC game I ever played and the hook is still there.

Skyrim was ok. Graphics were good but it got just as boring as Oblivion real quick. I like W2 alot....needed guns though. j/k

I think that if they use the Skyrim engine and kept the same wrtitng team from new vegas fallout 4 could be really great!

I hope they keep the Creation Engine. It's the greatest engine i've ever had the honor of seeing.

Bad? Lagging so much I had to restart every 30 minutes or less. That with all the DLCs installed.

I think it's because they don't like RPG's.
I feel that this is exactly the case for most of the skyrim supporters, they want an action adventure game where you make a character and it has dew RPG elements to level up, so that is what they get, but they refuse to realize that is what it is.

personally I think Fallout NV, Fallout 3, Oblivion and skyrim are the best games I have ever played...(just put away skyrim for a bit, and now im playing new vegas again).......maybe I just havent seen all that is out there for open world rpgs (are there other games that do what FO and ES do, better than they do it?....... I look at fallout and elder scrolls as the same team...a team that I support because I want more of these games (not to mention I love post apocolyptic lore and the elder scrolls really opened me up to medieval fantasy.... so these are two settings that I really enjoy exploring)...........................so let me know, if I wnat a game where I create a character and am free to roam where I please, that is fun to explore, .......what are some other games that do this better than fallout and the elder scrolls......cause I see alot of skyrim bashing and im just wondering what you guys feel was a better game than skyrim this year

You mean last year, and I dunno, I don't buy a lot of new games when they are released, I wait until the price drops, so I have no idea what RPG's came out in 2011.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution came out last year, so did Space Pirates and Zombies(a game I will shamelessly promote).

I started playing Fallout 3 first. I was in middle school, mind you, so I thought it was teh coolest. I got super excited to play Oblivion because apparently, it's exactly like Fallout 3! I wasn't sure about this fantasy business but I bought it anyway. When I did, I thought it was teh coolest too, but even then, I found myself annoyed with the lack of choice. Compared to Fallout 3. 4 years later, after over a hundred hours in both Fallout 1/2, and over 600 in New Vegas, these being what I've primarily played over that period of time . . . I think you can imagine my discontent with Skyrim.
