Only one patch? Surely there will be more?

At least his stories have nudity. One day Bethesda will grow a pair. Even BioWare's crappy Inquisition had boobies. I daresay Witcher 3 got so many GOTYs because of the boobs. In your heart you know this to be true.

LOL. Not everyone can be like Stephen King and write a bible-sized book in a week. I almost feel bad for that dude, George.

It's Beth. Of course there will be patches. OH GOD! I hope there will be. I'm sure there will be.

Anybody know if Monsignor is patched yet? I've been avoiding it like the plague but, since it's not quest related at the moment, I want to go back and do some looting with Mac.

Getting a bit impatient? This game hasn't been out for that long yet. We already got a patch about a month ago, and we're due for another one soon. I'm honestly not even sure why anyone would think that we're only getting one patch for this game.

There have been 2 patches not 1 and the game hasn't even been out 2 months.

All this complaining and misinformation all the time about patches is getting ridiculous.

I really hope a Mod sees this thread and either deletes it or fixes the title or corrects the OP and locks it. This is getting old.

1. Patch: 1 Fix

2. Patch: 8 Fixes?

Skyrim and FO4 were released in November. Skyrim got in the early December 3 Patches and 3 Times more Fixes in that Time. No wonder People becoming impatient.

Patch 1 fixed quite a few things, so did the second one. And this has by far been the most stable release ever by Bethesda.

Badmouthing them like this isn't right. And believe me I'm not a fan*oy. I still feel like they stole my money over NV.

Maybe the reason they are absent from the forums is because of threads like this ...

I'm not going to waste any more time on this, if anyone is interested in the truth, just do a simple internet search.

Done.

Hell no, I ain't waiting 6 years for Bethesda to patch it. Hell by that time the Unofficial patches would've fixed everything major.

Well, the general consensus with people including myself is that Fallout 4 is a much more stable and bug-free game than Skyrim. At the very least Fallout 4 is playable on all platforms. Skyrim was practically unplayable on the PS3 for over a year.

That said, Beth does seem to be taking their sweet time. Here is hoping that patch 3 will be big as well as fix major issues and not just a few dozen fixes for things nobody cares about.

The patch also "unlocked" a lot of keys for manual binding. For those of us that use keyboards that was supposed to be a blessing so we could manually assign keys for everything to customize our setup. Before the patch all the numpad keys were locked as weapon hotkeys, which happened to work perfectly for me sine I'm a lefty and that's how I always play. After the patch the numpad keys were unlocked so you can assign any function to them...except weapon hotkeys. Now my hotkeys are restricted to locations where they are anything but hot and for some reason the numpad keys are locked when trying to assign them to favorites. So essentially they ended up breaking something that worked perfectly.

I noticed that myself so installed a little program called AutoHotkeys that redirects the keystrokes.

https://autohotkey.com/

I only use keys 0 to 9.

Just have to remember to turn num lock off and run the script before playing the game by running the fallout4.ahk icon on my desktop

So what happens is when you press say NumpadIns AutoHotkeys tells the game that you pressed 0

The script is just a text file that you edit like this.

#NoEnv ; Recommended for performance and compatibility with future AutoHotkey releases.

; #Warn ; Enable warnings to assist with detecting common errors.

SendMode Input ; Recommended for new scripts due to its superior speed and reliability.

SetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir% ; Ensures a consistent starting directory.

#MaxHotkeysPerInterval 10000

#UseHook

#IfWinActive, ahk_class Fallout4

; Default controls

NumpadIns::0

NumpadEnd::1

NumpadDown::2

NumpadPgDn::3

NumpadLeft::4

NumpadClear::5

NumpadRight::6

NumpadHome::7

NumpadUp::8

NumpadPgUp::9

Eww! :yuck:

Anyway, patience! They patch slowly but little :teehee:

Seriously, i'd imagine the tool release is slowing patching down.

Well to be fair Skyrim was nearly unplayable on consoles mostly the PS3. Fallout 4 isn't nearly as bad. I only had a few glitches.

@ Nemorov: Yes, Skyrim received more patches in the same amount of time, but Skyrim had more bugs to fix after all.
