OOO compatibility patch causing immediate crashes

I just installed OOO and also installed the Kvatch rebuilt compatibility patch for use with MOE main quest delayer. For some reason the game crashes with no warnings and I can't even get past a black screen at startup. I disabled the compatibility patch and everything works fine. Here's my load order:


Oblivion.esm
Kvatch Rebuilt.esm

You installed OOO wrong, you are missing the required ESM. Make sure you read the README included with the file.

My readme says nothing about an ESM, and there wasn't one included. The game will also work with OOO running, just not the Kvatch Rebuilt patch.

That patch was made since the release of OOO 1.33, which has an ESM. You need to upgrade OOO. Look at the ReadMe's date.

You are using a older version of OOO most likely if you do not have OOO.esm in your download.

You need to download 1.33 Version of OOO once again at least in order to get Kvatch Patch to work correctly with OOO.

Also check the Kvatch Rebuilt download you have and see if everything is there. It should contain a BSA, an ESM, an ESP, and two optional ESPs for compatibility with OOO and FCOM.

The game runs without the patch because the ESM does not do anything by itself. It is just wasting a plugin slot, at the moment...

I think I was misunderstood. MOE main quest delayer uses Kvatch Rebuilt's esm and data files to make kvatch not be attacked when you start the game. Kvatch rebuilt's esp is not needed, because I'm not technically using that mod, just its assets. I sort of did a double take at first, but the instructions are right at the top: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19949
I'm in the process of installing the new OOO with an esm, so hepfully that will work. I read somewhere that the compatibility patch from Kvatch Rebuilt should be used for the main quest delayer.

Well, in that case, if you aren't actually going to perform the Kvatch Rebuilt quest, why would you even need the OOO patch? the patch fixes some issues that OOO causes with the KR quest, so if you don't actually intend to play the quest, that patch will do nothing at all.

OK. That answers my quetsion. I didn't know if it was for the guards or something. I'll disable it and keep an eye out for oddities.
