OOO crate lockup problem

hi all.

well I played now for a number of hours and I come now up to my first vague problem

Here after exploring many dungeons, I come back to the aylid ruins across from the starting sewer. next to the bandit camp is a Box.

when "opening" this box, everything just stops! I have my sword and see the world but no menu or ability to move, not even with Tcl console.
the form finder gives to me that it is a OOO crate, my OOO mod. the box does not open at all.

harvest containers I use. should I not use this?!

since no google seemed to help me or search here, I better ask.

I am using harvest flora. seems harvest containers is part of OOO itself. maybe some of the OOO boxes are sort of bugged/trapped!
the harvest container mod is not in my load order, but the crates and barrels and such do open, in the dungeons.

It happens to me as well once in a full moon. It has happened once during my current 250 hour game. When reloading from an earlier save it worked fine so seems more like a glitch than a bug. Not sure what's causing it and if anything can be done about it.

But make sure you're running the latest version of OOO (1.34 Beta 5) as there have been HC fixes in both 1.33 and 1.34 Beta 5.

Also guess some containers might be bugged, i.e. if it happens every time you try a specific container. Exactly which container is this?

at first I thought it was the duke's script killer mod that did this.
no. when I disabled it, still bugged.

then I went to the OOO page and found the
way to turn off the harvest containers script.
Harvest Containers
You can disable container animations using the Oblivion console (in OOO 1.32 RC3 or later). There are several options for this:

Turn off HC for player house containers: Set OOOHCPlayerHouse to 0
Turn off HC for chests, cupboards, desks, drawers and lecterns: Set OOOHC to 0
Turn off HC for barrels and crates: Set OOOHCBarrelsAndCrates to 0
Turn off HC for sacks: Set OOOHCSacks to 0




Now the crate opened!

and *now* I know why in the alyid ruin dungeon there was a chest that turned colored when I clicked on it and it did not open!

the box in question is a box sitting out in the open next to the bandit camp in the alyid ruins just across the river from the sewer exit, the starter dungeon.

I like the idea of a Harvest Container, where I can tell if the chest or box has been looked at before, as in OOO I will have to visit many dungeons much later, but myu feeling was, when these things Open, is that a crash or lockup is only a matter of time.

then TOO, as each opened crate and box and chest must be "remembered" in the save game file, I can seee that soon soon down the game road that this save game file could become huge and even fps issues will happen as scripts have to keep track of each and every little box and barrel and chest and crate!
