1. Description
============================

This mod changes containers added by a large number of mods into Harvest Containers (http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3979).
It does not require the Harvest Containers mod, though, since it is based upon the Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul version which also includes the lock bashing features from Lap's Security Rebalance and Scruggsywuggsy's LockBash 1.1
So you will not only get the visuals from Harvest Containers, but many containers (based on type) will now also be bashable and some may also be trapped.

2. (Un)Installation
============================

REQUIRES:
Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul
Wrye Bash

Since this is a filter patch you do NOT need all the mods listed above.

Unpack the archive into the Oblivion/Data folder. I suggest using BAIN for easy installing and uninstalling. The mod already requires Wrye Bash, so no reason not to use BAIN.
The mod is pretagged with Filter and Deactivate. Do NOT activate the mod, but rebuild your Bashed Patch and add OOO Harvest Containers Filter patch for mods.esp from the Merge Patches menu and the choose Build Patch. After the Bashed Patch has been built the mod will have a red + in front of it.

3. Compatibility
============================

As long as it loads after all the mods it patches and before Wrye Bash there should be no compatibility problems or conflicts.
I can't guarantee that I haven't made errors, though. Some containers may have the wrong scripts attached, but it won't break your game. Let me know if you find any errors.

- fixed a few containers with wrong scripts and reduced the number of trapped containers. Removed containers coming from my Merged Dungeons mod.

v1.02
- Added some SI containers. Some SI Harvest Containers use custom graphics with no corresponding OOO script and a lot of SI containers gets scripts attached by ZUZIO (ZUAmberMadnessOverhaul.esp), so I didn't touch those.

- While making a non-OOO version I went through all containers again and fixed some more with wrong/no scripts.
Should be the final version unless I add more mods to the filter.

That doesn't sound quite right. Shouldn't that be "Filter" and "Deactivate" rather than "NoMerge"?

Well, it works fine with NoMerge. The patch contains only Container records and they are all correctly imported into the Bashed Patch.

EDIT: Duh! It's the ReadMe that is wrong! The actual file is tagged with Deactivate.

Yes. But the trapped chests are quite rare though; mostly those with phat lewt. And in my experience it's only the lightning bolts that are deadly, so some lightning protection may help.

It is possible to use it without a full OOO install if you strip OOO.esm of everything but the relevant scripts and containers, and make sure you install the Harvest Container resources meshes and textures (and possibly sound). At least in theory it should work fine, but I haven't tested it.

That is way too much trouble just for a few barrels. I'm already using Harvest Containers, all I want is COBL's containers to work the same way.

At least in OOO the insane traps were everywhere because there was a "chance" (no matter how small) a container could have something valuable.

As long as their location makes sense (you should never run into one of these in someone's house :wacko:) it's perfectly fine.

No empty containers are trapped, it's mostly "boss" chests and loot chests/aylied casks in dungeons.

If you aply yourself maybe, just maybe, you too, far in the future, can make these high quality mods that people crave. But how you should be able to achieve such heights as "Lolita save" is beyond me :laugh:

Hmm...SI...I didn't remember that OOO doesn't touch SI.
Do you know if the containers from the HC SI add-on uses any unique meshes and/or textures? If they use the same graphics as the non-SI containers I could add the SI containers in the next update.
