Okay. Guess I'll read up on Oblivion WarCry and Francesco's Leveled Creatures-Items to see if they're worth switching to FCOM for. Thanks!
The core of FCOM is OOO. Although, WarCry and MMM show through pretty well. MMM is not a true overhaul...kind of, so that is not surprising. I do not think reading up on WarCry will deter you, but much of Fran will not be "visible" unless you use the SI component. I have switched to just using MMM's SI, so not even that part of Fran is in my setup anymore. Not using SI, you mainly get Fran's new items and some nice new bosses.
MMM+OOO is smaller, in terms of plugins, new items and new enemy types. Most of the creature diversity is still there, and OOO is still there. FCOM being in beta status is of little significance. If you have not played OOO before, you may want to start out playing OOO or MMM+OOO. If you have, I do not think MMM+OOO is going to make a huge difference because MMM is not an overhaul in the way that FCOM, Fran, OOO or WarCry are. If you play the two combinations, the difference should be quite obvious, but I do not think reading up on the individual components can really let you understand the difference between the two. With the way MMM is growing, it will certainly make a difference compared to the pure OOO-modified Oblivion, and the creature diversity it adds is really amazing. Certainly, you will not be bored going either route.
